Very interesting character and yes, more complicated than the rulers of the other realms, but once I realised that ALL those rulers including Denathrius started out as an empty vessel which the First Ones filled with a soul, I understood him a bit more and could see WHY he was the creator of the Nathrezim and why he had such a strong link with Zovaal.
The Arbiter also was an empty vessel primed for a soul and I think that is why rhe Arbiter was quite weak. Pelagos offered a pure, untainted soul and will make a better, and stronger Arbiter.
I hope we haven't seen the last of Denathrius though, he was a fun character to interact as were all of the Venthyr. It's still my favourite Realm of the Shadowlands. Thanks for the video! -

You look at Denathrius and you wonder why in gods name everyone loves him. He is just do painfully generic and cliche, but then you look at the rest of the cast. they are simply cardboard cutouts with nameplates. of course people will gravitate towards the one character that exhibits any semblance of character.

I think the nature of Dreadlords is not much different from humans. Mal'ganis sided with Death (Denathrius, Lothraxion sided with Light, while Tichondrius, Mephistroth, and Balnazzar sided with the Burning Legion.

it really is a shame they make the player charecter ( and a lot of npcs) just dumb as all hell for what seems to be to let the villians seem smarter

I love how the Venethyr all seem like slim and lanky, and then you got Denathrius who looks as stacked as a brick house.
