They act as if they can't just use holy light or flash of light let alone divine shield or lay on hands. Man and you mean to tell me that a seasoned veteran. Fighting for more than a thousand years on the front lines. Fighting the legions' strongest lieutenants from the tiniest to the giant ones. Won't be able to stop himself from making such an accident. This is simply terrible writing that doesn't respect the abilities and lore of the characters. And what is all that blinded by light new thing
In wc3 light was pure righteousness. Uther literally told arthas when he wanted to massacre the orcs who kidnapped people Remember arthas vengeance cannot be a part of what we must do, if we allow our passions to turn to bloodlust we will be as vile as the orcs. Uther is the light bringer, these are the teachings of light. But now nah. Light is just yellow void

A lot of people are going to be going back and thinking of the quote At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming. It's probably going to be people who are close to her either literally dying or dying as in being struck down and her feeling betrayed.
My bet is this entire expansion is going to lead into Alleria going batshit and getting corrupted because of it feeling she can't trust anybody anymore. If I had to lob a guess, I have a feeling that void power is going to be related to emotional instability in some way which is going to make Xal'atath try to use her as a vessel to bring back N'zoth under her rule in some manner. Much like how Medivh was to be the vessel for Sargeras to act through.

What so many people fail to understand, is that it is a greater thing a far greater reality to BE wielded by God rather than wield God's light. Humans always want to be proud of their accomplishments of their achievements, and cannot submit and humble themselves to a greater power. This is just a video game, but the concepts that they are dealing with is the reason most of humanity is Hell-bound. Because they cannot stomach BEING wielded rather than being a wielder, and they're inability to stomach it does not change the truth of it in the least.

This is some of the dumbest, mind-numbing writing I think I've been subjected to in recent years. Turalyon is fighting a known enemy, with Lor'themar and Liandrin at this side, and Arator, in his childlike fourty year old naivety jumps in front of an attack meant for someone else, and somehow, we try to rationalize that it was Turalyon, and not Arator's fault for this mistake Lets shove some, oh it must have been the lights wrath crap on top of it all. Not buying it, I feel like the devs are trying to speedrun making me hate Arator and Alleria

Remember the time phasing projections in Thaldraszus where fel-infused soldiers fought against Void wielders This could be perceived as a subtle hint that the actual opposing force against the Void could actually be the fel. We saw what happened to Xhul'horac back in WoD. The scene with X'era and Illidan is another sign.
It's just a hypothesis, but we might see a further involvement of warlocks and demon hunters (possibly death knights as well) in the near future, since Light users won't be efficient enough to eradicate the Void threat.

you did think that after Illidan did this infront of Turalyon and the fact that we beat the Legion TOGETHER this would have made him realise the Light isn't always correct.
you did think he would listen to his wife and realised that she doesn't want him to let the light control him like the void have tried to control her
Turalyon need a bit of more screen time in my opinion, dude needs to find him self and realise the light is a support power not something that should be in control of his life.

Remember. the light cannot exist without the void and vice versa. and with xe'ra dead since legion a'dal is the naaru leader and he would prob tell turelyon that the kight should not be so blindly trusted. it may be good yes but even good intentions have violence behind them. xe'ra trying to forcefully lightforge illidan, the scarlet crusade, strathholm's razing by arthas. all were good intended but they were all objectively wrong

Ah yes, another old legacy male character being made to grovel and apologise for his crimes (and most likely killed off in the near future.
While we are supposed to forgive the crimes of the strong female characters like Sylvanas.
The constant emasculation of Warcraft for the last 7 years now is why the game have been in the gutter and have felt toothless for so long.

Strange how two heroes we once looked up to as literal statues in Stormwind are now reduced to deeply flawed figures. Azeroth used to give us role models to aspire to. Now it feels like our own world reflected back at us, flaws magnified, ideals stripped away, and mediocrity normalized.
Even the Light is compromised, what’s left for our heroes to believe in

Does anyone else think struck down instead of something like attacked or injured is just like. weirdly stilted and filtered It's like they're too afraid to say 'killed', so they adopt some lofty Jedi type vocabulary instead--but they're not even killing anyone to begin with, so why the hell are they so afraid to describe the attack with grounded terms

Bro these modern writers are butchering these characters and this game so bad. Keep your obvious hate for Christianity in how you're portraying followers of the light out of this game. Yeah we get it. Milennials hate religion. Strong men are toxic. We've only been fed this slop from every angle for the last 10 years. Enough already.

Turalyon is the biggest religion fanatics that WOW ever had.
1- He tried to kill the savior of Azeroth- Illidan because of some false god.
2- Turned against his wife because of fanatics light religion.
3- And now struck his own son.
There is no difference between him and Gul'dan.

I won’t be surprised if these two permanently separate at some point in Midnight.
If i remember correctly, in one of the comics/books it was mentioned how Turalyon and Alleria cannot even touch each other anymore without their powers causing hostile reactions and explosions.

This lore is so dumb. Every expansion they announce something bombastic, wrap it up in mistery and when you unwrap the mistery it is always a turd inside. Each expansion is more boring and hollow. They just can't deliver. MOP as controversial as it was, was the last real one.

I kinda find it interesting amd refreshing that they're going to show that even the light isnt all that good, especially with the lightbloom thing we'll see as a result of the sunwell. I always thought it felt very one-sided with the void and the light.

And Turalyon said before to Anduin, that they should let the light guide them, but not command them, because they still have hearts and minds of their own, that should be used. Turalyon's new arc feels absolutly out of his character.

that scene with illidan is my favorite scene!
i'm also not surprised that turalyon refuses to admit the light is blinding him to everything. heard alleria is a raid boss so im curious how that happens. so much to see in midnight.

Turalyon is a military leader and strategist who likely doesn't need any distractions. Is now really the best time for family drama Couldn't Arator have waited until the battle was over to complain to his mother about Turalyon

None if this makes sense. If turaylon says arator jumped in front while he was engaged in combat if was totally a accident. why would neither see this if they are battled harden for thousands of years and battles
