War Within. Sorry, but you can't look back at the humans and orcs fighting over infernal meteors, dying violently, orcs screaming in pain (emotional and physical alike) and say this is War. There's been like what, 3 battles this whole expansion so far But by all means, give us more therapy sessions. I'm waiting here to see some actual war and instead I'm getting like 7 of these Disney children story bits shoved down my throat in between every bit of action (which happens once every patch or so for 5 minutes max if we're lucky)
Ngl, I kinda expected this to be the case just like in Dragonflight, but I was hoping that Metzen coming back would bring back some of the old vibes.
It is what it is tho. Maybe we can still hope for some actual war by the end of the expansion.
I'm still gonna play the game, but I can't say I'm not disappointed.

I'm glad The Alliance is going to get more of Aethas Sunreaver. He's actually a really cool character, and we don't interact with him much. I like doing his sad world quest too, where you pick up the stuffed animals for him. He's really holding it down in the ruins. It's nice that we're getting to spend some time with him.

I feel like Jaina and Aethas need to talk They're both responsible for some pretty bad stuff in Dalaran's history (Aethas sneaking Garrosh's agents into Darnassus to steal from them and Jaina's subsequent removal of the Sunreavers from Dalaran) but they've never discussed it.

Grief heals slowly, Aethas. The absolute gall of Jaina to say this to the person whose people she murdered in cold blood is unbelievable.
When all hell breaks loose between the factions again, I hope it's a Blood Elf that takes Jaina's head.

Considering it’s just in game cut scenes I think they did an amazing job conveying the grief in losing a city and many of its people. I like epic war stories but they don’t mean anything if the aftermath is never explored.
