Neil Gaiman Answers Mythology Questions From Twitter Tech Support

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
Author Neil Gaiman takes to Twitter to answer the internet's burning questions about mythology. What links Viking and Greek myths? Why does Anubis have a dog head? Why do so many cultures have a 'Great Flood' myth? What do Biblical angels look like? Neil answers all these questions and much, much more! Invisible: humans were never monkeys or apes.
egyptians worshiped cats with Bastat, but also worshiped many other gods and goddesses.
as for anubis he's among the well known, but not the only one.
if Gods die when they are forgotten, then they don't deserve the title of gods if you aren't omnipotent and immortal, you aren't worthy of the title.

Ok but hope being the final cruelty of the gods is such a great take on the story of pandora's box! I never understood what such a nice thing was doing in a jar with all this evil stuff, now it makes so much sense

Pandoras Box seems to be about theodicy. The question of why a God would make evil vis a vis let evil things happen. It's not a great explanation, pandoras box, but it is one, at least lol

semihemidemigod. sounds like those people who proudly boasts to be some kind of 1/64th indigenous and therefore not the 63/64 of whatever else majority that they are.

12 tasks of Hercules, I see him looking at those 12 panels on the table looks like a book I loved as a kid, Greek Myths for children by Marcia Williams!

You'd probably have to find a furry minotaur
Oh, how would that help?
Not a furry minotaur, a minotaur who was actually a furry

8: 06 I have the feeling Neil Gaiman would really like Breath of Fire IV, cuz the major theme of that game is exactly this.

I do not know what it is but I love hearing Neil Gaiman talk. He could narrate every audio book I listen to ever and I would love it.

Naglfar as the reason you should cut your fingernails. (never mind that they continue to grow for a few days after death, Neil. )
