The stunts we love to watch in movies like 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' usually rely on a combination of green screen, stunt performers, and computer-generated models. Stunts like these can be dangerous, especially when performed live. over and over. At the new Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resorts, radical stunts are being performed everyday by a robotic acrobat. Disney Imagineers Tony Dohi and Morgan Pope sit down with WIRED to talk about how they designed this amazing stuntronic robot

I saw this at Disneyland a couple of months ago with my daughter and her family. When she told me it was a robot, I was blown away. I studied art in college, drawing human anatomy, been in design my entire life and was mesmerized at how fluid and human-like this robot appeared. The creativity, the engineering, the physics, everything. Humans have such incredible minds it's just such a shame it's not ALWAYS put to good use. Imagine if it was!
Phenomenal show! And, being 3 stories above me, I had no problem at all with seeing everything. Certainly a highlight for me at Disneyland!

It-s never about just entertainment. It begs the question of what the government/NASA have in mind. I-m sure this is their way to get a feel for android astronauts that can go in space and never age. Probably explore the edge of the galaxy.

Omg I saw this saw a million times and not once did I think it was a robot. - that's freaking amazing! It looks so real I thought it was a person the whole time. But it's a person the rest of the show right?

They're 6 feet apart and they are still wearing masks yet no gloves? and they're touching everything the other one touched - great show, don't worry I won't tell anyone of your fear baiting tactics ---

I have seen this live, multiple times, and had no idea. I just always wondered who the incredibly strong, talented, and brave person was that did this stunt. It looks that real!

How many other people got this video recommended to them immediately after watching a news report about the robot smashing into a wall and falling?

Well, you saw it here first folks. Any day now, Disney's legions of Spider-Bots are going to be web swinging through our cities to rule the planet.

Honestly idec if it looks a little stiff, launching and catching a robot as fragile as this kind could be and making it function mid air is SO cool to me

This is amazing and genius.
-If we land in a funny way-, recently it did land in a funny way, holding a plank shape and slammed into the building

Rest In Peace and a moment of silence for the robotic acrobat that died in California Disneyland while performing the Spider-Man stunt -
