I am one second into this video, now I-m going to see how many of these body language things this ex- FBI officer gets correct
The first one about eye contact, no I am not intimidated by people looking at me in the eyes, I just don-t like keeping eye contact, there-s no other reason other than I just don-t like to. Don-t get me wrong, I can and will look at people directly in the eyes but I choose not to.
The third one about how to improve the poker face, no that is not how to improve your poker face at all, when someone looks at you during a poker match they are trying to intimidate you but if you look directly back at them with simply no emotion their intimidation will fail against you but at the same time even though you have no emotion on your face you will intimidate them by doing that.

Yes different cultures have different types of body language.

OMG the lip reading thing. YES, if you've ever worked a drive thru, call centre, somewhere you can only give by listening. you've probably tried your best to speak with more than enough diction and enunciation to other people whose jobs are those.
I swear sometimes a person can hear habanero when you've said hazelnut. Especially when your accent is on the thicker side. Makes me really appreciate those with thicker accents that speak slowly and decisively. You have no idea how many people with thicker accents will say their order passively and quietly. Idk how many times I apologize when I have to be the order taker in drive thru - - -

I avoid eye contacts with some people not cause I feel intimidated but. weirdly disgusted/annoyed. I think it's more cause I am myself annoyed at the person and don't like them - therefore I don't want to look at them too much or at all and not really wanting them to look at me either. if I lock eye with them in an conversation and they're eyes are staring and weirdly intense - I cringe. -. Eye contact is also like a means of acknowledging the person which I sometimes do not want to do with ppl I don't like. interesting all of this though! there is so much to learn.

I grew up in France, as an American, French teachers came to our classroom, everyday, for an hour. It was my French teacher, in the 2and grade, that taught us to read lips to pronunciate correctly. When I was in 4th grade I got glasses and discovered the benefit of lip reading. At 63 I was told I had hearing loss due to chronic sinus/ear infections. I, once again, found the benefits taught in lip reading. Also, I take my glasses off when I'm tired or my eyes are tired; but I HAVE to stay at the (unnecessarily) long meeting -

I'm autistic, and most people that get to know me talk about how sincere I appear, so very honest. true, I don't lie a lot - but always speaking truth? No, I use social lies just as others do. -yes, that haircut really gives you a new expression of yourself-. Complete bs, but nicer than -Wow. That's a decision you might regret, a lot. - What is it in me that makes people see me as so very honest? Even when I only met on a train for an hour. It would be nice if I had this question answered.

Eye contact only bothers me if people are wide-eyed, like they're staring or something. If people are more relaxed with their eyelids then I probably wouldn't even notice.
People always tell me eye contact is important, and I kind of believe that, but staring people down is just unnecessary discomfort and frankly I'm not interested in sacrificing that for whatever I'm trying to accomplish

Why do we need fbi? , why computer virus are being made? And then antivirus? Which government system makes criminals and then kill them publicly and why?
Why we make system where we want to read anyone? , why not promote peace straight away?
I've seen animals reading body language!
Please tell us what we don't know, thank you.

I think it's funny now that everyone knows about the -looking at hairline to make you feel self conscious- thing is going around. everybody is doing it so now you can tell who the real insecure people are. Please stop doing that it really destroys first impressions and just the quality of your character in general.

I might be autistic. The number of times I was punished in school by teachers who told me to -wipe that smirk off your face- was ridiculous. I was often punished for things other kids did because of it. I have never been able to read lips. And to this day, I have no idea when someone is flirting with me.

For the thumbnail question: I-m just autistic and it eye contact was forced on me as a kid so I associate it negatively if it looks like I-m looking at your eyes I-m prolly looking somewhere else on your face like your forehead, eyebrows, and lips because it-s easier to pay attention to the conversation
