I wished she had mentioned what to do. I know it seems obvious to some but there are still people who believe the doorway myth (I did, or just inherently want to go outside because they're afraid of the building collapsing. I read about a couple who freaked out during the second of the most recent California earthquakes and ran outside, then almost died when a power line fell right by them. Besides getting under something, apparently if you're in bed it's also pretty safe to just stay in bed, just make sure a pillow or something is protecting your head. The more you know.

Better tune into dutchsinse earthquake forecast. This man no matter how he does it. forecast regularly weekly earthquakes with clear empirical evidence. We have to do a sanity check to doubt the validity. He's seismically predicted many quakes including some very major anomalous earthquakes in Italy Mexico. Etc California is a bit difficult to forecast but the last two 6 to 7 Point Richter Scale earthquakes he was right there on record. . you can fact check forecasting those Quakes before they happened. No time for blinders. This just is true.

Lucy Jones didn't mention soil types in the list of factors causing earthquake damage. we're better off if our building is set on bedrock than loose fill. there exists a small chance that a full rip Cascadia event will be the strongest earthquake is seismographic history. nothing built by humans west of the Cascade mountain range will survive, dams collapsing, volcanoes erupting, tsunamis washing ashore. best we can do is prepare for partial rips, small earthquakes like they get in California.

At a spot that is building to a rupture, ULF, VLF or ELF frequencies are present up to three days before -- described as a -bulge-, but not physical. With all the types of satellites encircling the globe, can't some of them be tasked with detection of these build-ups of ULF, VLF or ELF frequencies at the area? We've got the tech for this. C'mon DARPA, if you can use satellites to track millions of people, why not detect the signature frequencies of coming earthquakes!

You are wrong! Earthquakes can be forecast, it's easy and anyone can do! and all be done by science! Why all the lies about it? Maybe people will get too scared? It's not random, I can do it and 98% accurate, seriously so this is BS! Lived in Northern Japan for 12 years and anything over a 3. 5 I was NEVER WRONG forecasting including and since March 11th so explain this ne? How, by scientist Dutchsinse who taught me, and this is real, I live it.

If we dont have enough firefighters THEN WHY DID THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT FORCIBLY AGAINST THEIR WILL BRING DOWN THE LOCAL FIRE BRIGADE? The julian California fire brigade locked themselves inside their building for MONTHS, WHY? because the LAST time their was a fire threat THE GOVERNMENT ABANDONED US. I hate this hellscape of cooperate negligence

If people didn't believe in prediction this woman would not have a job. Actually I'm quite sick and buy all the scientists who get paid to sit around or travel around and study earthquakes or volcanoes over and over again without learning anything new. We already know we're going to know when I think they should all be fired completely defunded

One of the big reasons why so many countries were affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was because the technology to warn wasn-t in place yet. The event was a catalyst for implementing new technology (for the time) that is known as DARTs which transmit seismic data to nearby residencies and warn them of what-s coming.

Even with data and expertise, I would still, never be too sure in my stance of something which is claimed to be so random. Keeping an open mind and not locking yourself into such a rigid construct of earthquake science, may just help to see the bigger picture of the overall patterns and dynamics of earthquakes.

In Chile, one of the most seismic countries in the world, physicist Enrique Cordaro discovered an earthquake prediction method, at least 1 month in advance, analyzing variations in the magnetic field. The method is still in development, but there is a way to predict earthquakes accurately.
