We were all either violent or meek in the past, never in between. Violence begets violence, and Christianity was just as violent in it's push northwards as the Pagan tribes were to each other. It's after the battles we decide to make amends.

With regards to the abolishion of slavery, it was started in Britain, forced upon the rest of the world and enforced by the British Empire (to the point of British ships routinely boarding and searching foreign ships to ensure they were not still carrying slaves. Resulting in the entire ship being seized and taken as a prize and the slaves on baord freed there and then if they were found to be in violation of this law. No Christianity, no British Empire, no abolishion of slavery.
Much as I am not particularly fond of Christianity for the countless times it has been abused as a flimsy pretext for war that is at least one thing the can definitely be chalked up as a positive effect of the religion.

Meh, I dunno. I think christianity was more of a by-product than a cause whilst the main cause being far deeper. If christianity ddn't exist some other religion with similar characteristics to christianity, with maybe a different root would've existed and practically resulted in a similar medieval age and later time periods. I think the time when christianity started was a time that had certain caracteristics that made the western world very much conducive to something like christianity. Its kinda like - even if you successfully put hitler in the art school someone else would've taken his place and the ultimate outcome would've been the same.

IF in addition to christianity not existing, somehow the 2nd Temple not being destroyed in 70 CE, we might have had a world in which Judaism had rose to become the dominant religion. In which case the Dark Ages never would have happened, and the world would be much more scientifically ahead of where it is now. Shalom.

Videos like these should stay on the chopping block, through the butterfly effect, you would have no way of knowing if the Turks would even migrate or not, they could probably be replaced by other nomadic groups, in essence this timeline would simply be unrecognizable.

i think england would be in an odd spot religion wise, because even with Christianity celtic and norse customs poked through, so i think England would be a mix of celtic and germanic traditions, seeing as a significant part of the population was celtic.

I'll need to research mithraism because I've never heard of a religion that doesn't allow women. It seems like their heaven would be pretty depressing if nobody got to see their mother, wife, and other female loved ones.

Theres no reason that Mithra would be worshipped more than Sol or Apollo. The sun was the most important symbol to the Romans. Mithra was a god born out of stone, which was seen as less respectful than a sun god.

Most of the African slaves who were brought to the United States / 13 Colonies were Animist, Polytheist, Muslim or some combination of those. Most were forcibly converted to Christianity.
