imo, if teleportation becomes a regular part of everyone's daily lives, the most exciting potential result of that would be the effect it could have on building human community. (Community as in TRUE community, the way it used to be- people cooperating together for common goals, deeply caring about each other, looking out for each other, helping each other, being directly involved in each other's lives daily or frequently; not the chaotic attempt at community that many of us experience in modern, predominantly separative conventional society) People could frequently join together to socialize, work together on like-minded projects and endeavors, etc. without having to physically live very close together like in a village. Which means that many of the hardships occasionally experienced by close-knit communities of the past (and present, such as abuse, would become much less common and possibly even obsolete. because you could simply teleport somewhere else if someone starts abusing you. Community members could meet up together whenever it's mutually convenient, because it could happen in an instant. And if any physical labor is a part of the community lifestyle, the work would become much easier and quicker if people didn't have to walk or transport to various locations, if their work entails that sort of thing.
