In addition to being the highest point on Earth at 29, 000 feet above sea level, Mount Everest is also one of the most sought after destinations of mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts. While it's not considered one of Earth's most dangerous mountains, people die attempting to summit its peak each year, prompting many to wonder what it's like to climb Everest and if it's worth it. Despite the costs, dangers, and extreme endurance needed, many climbers claim it is. Loren: So basically, if you are on the shorter side, and also overweight or even morbidly obese, have some trouble walking or breathing at times, then chances are that you will die trying to climb Mt. Everest, and you should just not try it, even if you could afford the cost or if someone paid for you to go, but since it costs tens of thousands of dollars just for basics like food, supplies and warm clothing, it's just not worth it.

Tallest mountain is Mauna Kea. And don't call them stiffs, they prefer to be called landmarks. That's what they told me via cold call.
It's so sad. Wherever man goes, we litter. You'd think a name like Rainbow Valley would be beautiful up there, but nope The peaks of mt. Everest, the depths of challenger deep. Humans leave trash.

To climb Everest must be like having a million dollars extra dollars lying around that you choose to spend on bragging rights rather than something than might do something for some hungry kids somewhere who are less fantastically rich than you.

I have no interest whatsoever paying over 100k to risk freezing to death, falling to my death, losing my nose and digits to frostbite or any number of myriad mishaps. Besides that, I detest being cold so no thank you! Lol

I had oxygen problems at the top of Pike's Peak, a lowly 14. 2K feet above sea level.
I guess I just don't get why people want to do this. Should I ever meet someone who did it, I still wouldn't be impressed, lol.

A) I don't swim because once you go past the buoy you are the lowest on the food chain
B) after watching this video with all the dangers of climbing Mount Everest why would you?

reply

Why don't the countries require climbers to clean up? Or charge climbers extra money so that cleanups are regularly scheduled. It sounds like an easy fix, so why isn't it done?
reply

Would not do it. You have a better chance traveling coast to coast in Antarctica with a well thought out plan than to climb that rocky landfill/graveyard.

My hero is the blind guy that tried it years ago maybe I am biased because I m blind to lol
I did not think of his name, but he did write a book about it

Now Mt Everest is too crowded. There s like a few hundred people who will be in front of you climbing up the mountain. The peak is covered in trash now to

I ve said it again and I ll say it again. Humans don t have to go everywhere! It should get even more expensive to go up so even less ppl try.
reply

It amazes me the lengths people will go to satisfy an overinflated ego. I made to the highest point on Earth at risk of life and limb! Whoopie-do.
reply

Just like the ocean
I will not f# & around with a place humans don t have the advantage in.
You re asking for the planet to kill you.

reply

It is possible to climb it without oxygen. Those are the true climbers, not the ones with oxygen!
It is like run a marathon using a car.

reply

Did you hear about the man without legs who lives at the foot of Mount Everest?
When people meet him, they just find Himalayan there
