When we think of the evilest rulers in history, names like Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini rush to mind. But it's important to remember that brutality existed in rulers well before the 1930s. Others, like Attila the Hun or Chinese Empress Wu, may seem like obvious choices. But after looking deeper at the effects of their rule and how they were perceived by those they reigned over, it becomes clear that they're not the worst rulers in history. Instead, they suffered from then-contemporary historians' ire (Attila because he wasn't Roman, and Wu because she was a woman

My girlfriend survived the Khmer Rouge though her father and uncle's didn't. I can assure you the people of Cambodia did not want a communist revolution. A psycho was given weapons by the communist to help fight off the US but he instead attacked his own people to rise to power abandoning his family along the way. Interesting side note is when China acknowledged him as the leader of Cambodia and finally got him to reveal himself he did so on television and that was when his brother found out who Pol Pot was. Guess where this brother was, that's right, working in a prison labor camp.

I think it's interesting, though not particularly surprising that you left out Columbus and many American presidents. The body count of first nations people is astronomical and continues to this day. The sheer cruelty is unfathomable. There is no difference between political parties when dealing with the atrocities of Standing Rock, for example.
And in the last 20 years the crimes against the people of the Middle East have been absolutely amazing.

I like how you make short videos about history but i really think you should double check your facts because when you are putting them for such a huge audiance u need to be sure it's true and as soon as I said that the list started with Genghis Khan i knew you did not put the efforts to do research thoroughly because he definitely was not an evil leader and this isn't the first time i have found historical inaccuracy in your videos

Genghis Khan, responsible for 20-50 million deaths. Seems mean. I like the part where they be-head the entire city. They were extremely efficient with all the leaders being assigned a certain quota of heads to lop off before dark.
Oh, oh, and where they launched burning enemy bodies over the walls with trebuchet. Slash em up and that fat burns well I guess.
People and their greed and insanity

It was actually the committees of public safety that where complicit - along with revolutionary tribunal that sent all those people to the guillotine? when of course, their corruption was brought to Robespierre 's attention they turned on him and scapegoated him to save their own necks! They where all as much to blame? Like everything else the carnage devoured itself as it always does!

No, my top picks are Stalin, Mao, The World order. H man is no where near them. The official version says so. But, we are not allowed to dispute that, which tells me, it's lies. And there's lots of proof of it. Millions died for wealth, power and lies of a group that still exist, and controls the world, and are attacking America today. The very ones we fought for back then.

armenian genocide is still not yet proven and probably not true and not a genocide because it was an exchange of people between lands not only armenians but turks, greeks, arabs died in that exchange and it was not a decision that talat pasha took

Genghis Khan correction, the people party on the nobles' heads were his generals, and there was no molten mask, but molten silver poured into the guy's eye sockets, after murdering 2 Mongol trade envoys and stole their trade goods

Has nobody mentioned Henry VIII? (Yes, the one who executed two of his six wives) It is estimated 50, 000 to 70, 000 people were executed during his reign much higher numbers than those of Ivan the Terrible.
reply

Pretty ballsy that the leftist media outlet the young turks takes its name from an organization that genocided the Armenian people, and refuses to acknowledge that genocide to this day. Truly our moral superiors.

We owe Gengis Khan a debt of gratitude. Could you imagine how much worse the population problem would be if he didn't wipe out 11% of the world's population? For that we thank you Mr Kahn

I would love to see the citation how the US incited Pol Pot in Cambodia. Their regime was trained and funded by the Soviet union, yet you attribute their genocide to US in Vietnam.

Ever notice how we are never taught in school that all these rulers were deranged bloodthirsty sadistic psychopathic serial killers in fancy dress? Why is that?
reply

Genghis wasn't a cruel ruler for the most part yeah he killed alot of ppl during his conquest but he wasn't all that cruel in his rule
reply

Leopold II wanted their hands not heads. soldiers would go into towns and chop peoples hands off in order to get an extra paycheck
reply

Tamerlane killed about 5 % (17 million) of people during his rule and if you adjust to inflation that's 400 million people today

You forgot to add Son of Dracu means the son of satan. Just to let people know how the name Dracula couldve been made
reply

Mao Zhedong. His party was so scared of him that if you were to even mention that numbers were failing, he'd execute you.
reply

Really disappointed, but not surprised not a single American president from the past 50 years is on this list.
