I tell you the absolute Truth.
If I drop something for no reason, there is a Cop nearby or thinking about being. nearby, without them being in sight or if t I get are covert, I see their shock when they realise.
Once I was Serving in a Bar, 3 patrons, I dropped something while talking to them and said that's funny, I only usually do that when there are police around, the female showed her Badge, she and her two colleagues were as intrigued as I was, that was 20 yr ago. I never doubt it now. If I drop something, I say Where are you.

I think it might be a social thing, like dogs or cats who move their tails in different ways to communicate things to others, we humans might yawn when we get sleepy specifically to induce sleepiness on humans of our group, which would also explain why it isn't as effective on strangers

I heard somewhere before, that it could come from the fact that yawning was a sign of time to sleep or relaxe. In the sense, that in the past, people had to watch out for danger everywhere. Now we do have somewhat of save lifes, and thus yawn way more no matter the situation.

I wonder the evolutionary origin. Did it has any benefits or still has. I guess yawning carried an important message which were relayed by the whole group using this reflex, but speech and yelling made this form of communication obsolete, but the reflex remained, so far.
