Moped Mod: Turn Signals+Under Body Light+Brake Light
video description
5: 16 You're pissing away a lot of power there - you could fly to the moon on 3. 3W! No worries though, really; the moped's alternator is constantly recharging the battery, and it's still a bit more efficient than the incandescent bulbs. (My current project is bicycle lights powered by a LiPO flatpack, so how much power gets pissed away is foremost in my mind) If efficiency is a concern for you, you could whack in a switching regulator to drop the voltage and adjust your load resistors accordingly.
As has been stated in other comments, you really would have done better to use individual dropper resistors on each LED. (If the LEDs were selectively binned for voltage drop and current, you might be OK, but if there's any variation you could come a gutser) You could have used 1/4 watt resistors on each LED at a fraction of the cost of those massive cement bricks!

Hi, Scott! I'd like to do a project to my bicycle, using leds to turn signal, hazard light, brake light, normal lights, and a LCD screen 16x2 to show the speed (using reed switch, plus a thermomether (lm35, and Piezzo buzzer to horn, all this in a Arduino Uno.
Could you do a video just like this?

Hi, my soon to be new has unsmoothed DC electrical system (only filtering and voltage control after alternator) Can you let me know how i can get a 12V DC supply from this? will using voltage regulator and some caps work? (i dont think so)

I would love to build something like that, I would love to install hidden red/blue and strobe lights. Like a police car but i have no plan on how to do it -. -

It is too complicated for me this time. But, if you made this same video nowadays, i bet that it will be more understandable with me.
