Gamma-Ray Bursts: Crash Course Astronomy #40

Gamma-ray bursts are not only incredible to study, but their discovery has an epic story all its own. Today Phil takes you through some Cold War history and then dives into what we know. Bursts come in two rough varieties: Long and short. Long ones are from hypernovae, massive stars exploding, sending out twin beams of matter and energy. Short ones are from merging neutron stars. Both kinds are so energetic they are visible for billions of light years, and both are also the birth announcements of black holes. Crash Course Astronomy Poster

Gamma rays neutron Stars, and Gravity are mythical concepts.
If ten Stars orbital motion brings them closer together into a single line of a telescope viewing point, that really becomes a hell of a bright light as one object, which happens very often when great numbers of Stars in constant orbital motion meets at that specific line of view from earth's telescopes, this, they call gamma ray burst! The same principle applies to the supposed neutron Stars, as whenever regular Stars are lined up in a telescopes view.
Neutron Stars are fiction, it has motion without the machinisim of motion, which is ATOMIC MOLECULAR ENERGY FLOW.
Gravity, DEBUNKED.
Gravity started with Newton's apple downward falling motion, when the factual cause of downward falling motion is caused from trapped gas molecules, whenever gases bonds together making solid objects.
Oxygen and hydrogen gases like many others in our atmosphere freely moves around, but when trapped as in gas BONDING together they become motionless as a state of solid mass water, and falls downward as RAINDROPS!

Seems like the mainstream logic has left the rail. We see gamma rays from lightning strikes here on earth, strong enough to separate positrons from electrons out of photons. We also get gamma rays from when rejoining electrons and positrons. So all we need for a gamma burst in space is an electrical discharge onto matter, strong enough to vibrate the photons apart into positrons and electrons.
So what we call a pulsar is most likely a plasma double layer strong enough to keep positrons and electrons separated, and then a timed pulse discharge between the two. It seems the Vela pulsar looks more like a capacitor plate then a neutron star, or two merging neutrons stars or black holes.

-The most violent and energetic explosions this universe is capable of-
Whenever he says something like that, I think about even bigger and more awesome things we'reprobably going to discover in the future.
Here's another thought. as objects circle each other through gravity, it's possible their orbits are ever so slightly offset, right? What if the burst happens just as the combined mass tilts, say, 0. 00001 degrees? Wouldn't that be perceived as a very short flash from billions of LY away?
Just fantasising here.

4: 15-4: 45-- the five tone musical phrase from -Close Encounters of the Third Kind-, which was also used as the electronic door lock chime on the chemical weapons lab in Venini Glass in Venice in the Bond film -Moonraker-. Listen to the different notes as the GRB's appear in the sky along the Milky Way.
Very nice homage. Later! OL J R: )

We literally built a satellite to detect Gama rays. We then find out the location with the gamma rays are from. Why then do we not produce gamma ray machines and so others can find our location? I call it universal GPS, universal internet, universal television. -patent pending

Love your work wish you would have been one of my teachers.
Q: if a gamma ray bust originated on the other side of the Milky Way was directed at earth would it run out of energy before it got here.

Can we see every hypernova associated with the grb? Or only the grb is seen? If yes, why? We have detected supernova 10 billion light years away. then what is the problem to see these hypernovas with grb?

Great stuff, Phil! Just a little correction USSR stands for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, not United Soviet Socialist Republic. Thanks for the amazing educational material BTW!

There is something I dont understand. How can the material fall -down- to form the beam? What is -down- in the universe really? If someone could explain, that'd be great.

Still in my mind, the most incredible about the universe, is that it has created life, and making it able to look back at itself. agree?
