Jake, a suggestion Please! Your body is going through a beating, which is good but do things purposely to take care of it, meaning take some much needed family $ I am sure and go get a massage once in a while to treat all your muscles and give them a quick down time. I know, i know, perhaps you cant spare the $ or the time, but Jake, if you dont do such things you will regret it at 60 trust me. This from an old lady who spent her life pummeling her body with such work all my life. I really hope you take my suggestion, I am sure there is nothing left of Nicole to fill such a need at this season of life.

Jake, you are an amazing dad and husband. Your construction skills are awesome, BUT, all that can come to an end if yoiu don't start protecting your lungs. I shudder to see you going mask-less while cutting those bricks. You head is right in the middle of that brick dust. Please wear a mask or bandana or something. Those tiny particles have extremely sharp edges and will embed themselves in your lungs.

Jake, you should be protecting your lungs from all that refractory dust and any other kind of dust, like from cement or wood when you work. You don't know what damage you might be doing to yourself that you might not be taking into consideration when you are working and you are in a hurry. I'm concerned about your health. I was a welder, and I always considered my lungs when dust or smoke was involved.

It's official! I think Fox is going to be a tradie in the building industry of some kind! But Jake I cringe when your around building dust! Wear a mask mate! My father was in the building industry and it stuffed up his lungs! Pulmonary Fibrosis of the Lungs! Would hate to see it happen to you! Teach Fox to do it the right way and wear a mask around the dust! Cheers!

As a mother of three who sometimes struggled with ppd, the best advice I got, or can give is: this time is temporary, and you can do anything temporarily. These days are long but the years are short and you’ll looks back and wish it had lasted longer. you doing a great job.

If I was laying brick like that on the job site the foreman would throw my tool bag off the scaffolding.
And for drilling hardwood try using a smaller bit first and then work your way up to a bigger bit to whatever size you need.
But I give you E for effort

Hey Jake. I hate to be the safety guy here. But you should get urself a face shield if ur gunna do a lot of cutting with that big of disk on ur grinder. Hate to see u go to the hospital with a disk in ur face. Don’t think ur family could handle that either.

Hi Jake, you must try and use some liquid soap when you bore holes through the hard wood I know it works for drilling in hard cement. Keep up the good work well done for sharing your hard earned knowledge. Keep safe and healthy
