they find out if Puma and Kai, their dogs, can swim and begin storing away 1 years worth of firewood! Then jumping in the ocean for a natural bath! Joseph: Great workout. made me remember a funny time back in Illinois. my ex wife was. well innocent and had led a life of relative ease. We were back visiting my family in Pittsfield, Illinois. A farming community on the Prairie between the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. One of our friends had tried to start a gym back there and my wife was trying to be encouraging said. -yes I could see where the farmers would come in for a workout during the day before they go back to work-. And then none of us said anything. just went to lunch and there were of course many farmers in Bibb Overalls who had been up since 5 AM working hard out in the fields. and upon close observation it didn't seem that many of them would want to jump into a workout at the new gym. the gym didn't make it. but I'm thinking you have the Jake and Nicolle workout pretty much -worked out-. Bravo to you both. It makes me tired watching you. But it is fun to watch.

Jake learns a new trick, which is great, something I have never seen before. Split the wood inside a tire so he doesn't have to bend over and pick it up. Then he proceeds to chuck it on the ground, only to be picked up later. DUDE, why not have your wheelbarrow there, chuck the wood in it, then wheel it over to your stack, then stack it. Drives me nuts. I watch a lot of You Tube outdoors shows and the Tubers love to upload endless footage of themselves chopping wood. A pain to have to 2X through that shit.

Me and my husband moved to Colorado to a little stunning village called Valliceto Lake. We where in awe of it-s beauty and had come from the bayou of Louisiana. The summer-s or like spring and the winters are heavy and a true winter wonderland, we loved all the hard work and it was hard work but worth every moment. One of the best times of our lives. I think y-all are doing amazing and I enjoy watching y-all videos. It-s beautiful!

Hey you guys! I noticed the mosquitoes taking over you kingdome! A nice lady here at Greenwood BC told me that -Yarrow- chases
them away. I took it with grain of salt, until this Spring and Summer when I isochilled for 4 1/2 months in the bush, three hours with my sailboat from Tofino. At an old abandoned cannery. There were a lot of remnants from the old place, like 'Yarrow'! I didn't see one mosquito

For the love of God use a wheelbarrow to move that firewood instead of having to touch it 10 times. Clear paths Into the woods for a wheelbarrow so you don't have to keep throwing it 10' at a time. Clear out all that brush that you constantly have to step over and around. I'm sure you edit out all the times you all have fallen and or tripped over all that stuff thats always on the ground.

I came to the comments to find the exact song that plays when the scene shows over the boat before your -bath- (haha, I-d be just as scared as Nicole! I hate cold anything) P. S. love you two and I cannot believe these comments. you guys are living YOUR life (key word -your- not anyone else-s) can you shed some light on that song? I-ve looked at a lot of Amarante songs and can-t find it?

Nicole is becoming quite the off grid girl. She has worked so very hard to please Jake and take her place in the build from start to where they are now. More power to you sweetheart and to you too Jake, for all your very hard work and all the planning for the homestead.

That is a brilliant idea with tyre for keeping the wood in place for chopping! Well done. All your videos and hard work are really really impressive! Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your life and adventures with us.
