Yes and NO. Yes people buy cars outside there mean, but some luxury cars are a deal and a half for what there worth. I have a 2006 BMW 330i sport package that I got for 6500 cash. The car still looks like it came out yesterday and has like 280hp and handles and drives better than any new Camry or corolla. Even if I spend 5k over the next 3 years in repairs (I wont) thats would only be 11, 500 and a brand new Corolla would cost me 20k, plus its slow and boring. I would spend more on the Corolla just buying it from the dealer and then losing tons in depreciation. My 330i has navigation heated seats heated steering wheel and handles like a dream. Used sport luxury cars are some of best deals you can get and my car is not the basic 3 series. Its completely loaded. Another example are used Infiniti g35s and g37s from 2007-2011. You can get 1 for 10k and there super reliable and super fast with a 306hp 3. 5 liter Engine. They come with navigation and all. Theres no brand new Camry or Toyota that can compete with a 2010 g37s and its half the price and 9 years older. New cars are wayyyyy overpriced. The problem is people buy brand new luxury cars with high interest. My mom has a 2017 Corolla and its NOTHING campared to my 330i, it feels like your driving a car out of a cereal box when compared to my car.

Ever since I was younger Ive always loved BMW, was never able to afford one. back in 2013 when the 535i M Sport package came out I had about 3k saved up and went in to see if I could finance one. I was told I didnt have any credit, no job history, and not enough of a down payment. I got my job and after a year of using credit karma and learning about how credit works, I followed the steps and had about a year in my job, went back in 2017 and couldnt get a loan for 35K. luckily my GF co-signed and I put down a nice down payment on a used fully loaded 535i M sport. Ive had it for about 9 months now and I got it with the extended 4 year warranty. Havent upgraded any thing so I wont void the warranty. Luckily I havent had any major issues with it. And I absolutely love the car, always have. Its been my dream car honestly. comfortable and spacious, luxurious and also has some kick to it. I always make sure I warm up the car before I take off, and I coast at 68-70 mph because I enjoy the drive. I figured if Im gonna commute to and from work, I wanna make sure I do it in a car I like, were blessed to live in the states Just my 2 cents

Part of Reason I am lonely is 90% of Americans are Idiots do not know how to handle and their finances also buy a crap tone of processed foods also the only handful of Americans can do things from scratch. Yes Eating 100% plant-based diet can be Expensive however you can grow the majority of your self with practice. No one should spend no more 10k on Car. No more than 70k to 200k for House. Learn to live cheap or forever in debt and poor. I have my mother to thank for allowing me to pursue the Millionaire States. IF you are earning 50k+ Live on or above the poverty line or what Average American is living on & invest rest. Even Americans earning 100k to 50 Million a year are living paycheck to paycheck. (Americans can only reply if they are already wealthy, on the path to wealth, live smart and healthy) I am tired of People with no education replying to my comments. IF you do reply Name your College or university you graduated from and your Major and Minor.

Most upper middle class to very wealthy people in the northeast drive luxury vehicles. If you can afford a million dollar plus home, a 60-80k car is not really a extreme purchase. If you can buy it in cash and not pull from retirement or safety net cash why not. You worked for the money might as well spend it on something you like. A huge reason why I buy luxury vehicles is for their safety standards and safety options. If you have the money, newer cars with better safety protects you and your family, to me thats a very smart investment. Just watch any car, even luxury car from two decades ago crash into a modern day car head on than youll understand. The amount of safety built into modern day cars is amazing, not sure why anyone with any wealth would drive an old vehicle that is not up to todays safety standards.

the big corporations hire really well tracked psychologists and sociolgists to study how to best appeal to get the consumers (us) to buy their product. One of the ways they do this is by CONSTANTLY boast it in our faces and make it loud, colorful and hyped up which the vehicles arent all that great. If you constantly put something in peoples faces for long enough, theyll want to check it out and the weak ones who arent strong will buy, living out of their means and get into debt. Here comes the banks. All corporations are working together. They think its a big secret, but the smart wise people know this. So, the car companies pay big bucks for advertisments and attorneys/lawyers. Its not a money thing for us, its psychologial. For the corporations its all about the money. Fight the corporate greed.

Hey Scotty, you say dont spend your money on crap thatll break in a few years and then buy more crap. Its good advice, but lets face it, everything is crap now. Yes, even Toyota is ugly, uninspiring crap. (Admit it, thats why you arent driving new Toyotas. Serious question though, how do you respond to the reverse argument when people look at you strange because youre going to spend a fair amount of money fixing an old car that, isnt worth it? Im surprised by how many people will turn ashen-faced and weak-kneed over spending 2000 to fix a transmission, but turn around and spend 15k on a newer car that is most likely uglier, more cramped, has indecipherable controls and is more difficult to see out of than the car they had before. I think theyre nuts myself. What do you think?

Look, I agree with you on certain points, however, calling a Mercedes a crap? Are you nuts? The best car I have had was a MB. Its well known for quality and reliability Yes, its not cheap, but you wont be disappointed. German engines(MB) = over 300k, Japanese engine(Toyota Honda) = over 200k, American engines(Ford, GM, Cad) = over 150k, Korean engines = over 120k, Russian = 100k if you are lucky. Numbers from the 80s, 90s and early 2000. Things have changed a bit now, some brands getting more quality, but the MB is still on top. Maybe you have been missed treat by several MB owners. Hehehe But that doesnt mean the car has to pay for it Ive seen you bashing the MBs all day long on other videos, thats insane, as a mechanic, you know that.

Love your channel, love Toyotas reliability- one comment on oil ratings that my father told me (he was a research chemist for an oil company) is that sometimes oil companies make better oil with more additives in certain weights (he advised me to stick w/10w30 which was the most common at the time) because if the oil companies pass the standard at a certain weight they only needed to show similar additives in that brand for all weights to pass the standard. Now that was probably in the early 90s, so that game could have changed - but it is all about numbers, profit, and meeting the standard. Thank you for what you do

I was taught to invest and save my money. And pay cash for a car that is aleast 3 years old. Why would you borrow money and then pay over 5-6 years for it as in that time you have lost at least a quarter of what you have paid for it. Same goes for a contract phone. I pay 10 a month and get unlimited everything on a pay as you go sim. Its true nobody really cares what you drive. Its just more of a status symbol. In business it can be used to influence others. But just like everything else. In the end there will always be a newer model that comes out. The good thing is you can always change your plate. Lol
