They used a generic sensor rather than a new oem sensor that's why it comes without a signal plug (so you can use it on 'any' car. If you buy an OEM one (much more expensive) it should come complete.
The second point they missed is that wiring is not always so simple. Some manufacturers use different colours so you will have to use your brain a little bit. So not always as simple as White Grey Black to White Grey black. Mine wasn't (Mk3 Golf)

1 wire is sensor, 2 wires are the heating element, and 1 wire is ground. All O2 sensors have the sensor wire, most have the heating element, and some have the seperate ground. Easiest way is to get a direct plug meant for your car, but that's sometimes costly compared to a universal fit. Ebay up one, but try to stick to a decent brand name like Denso. No-names sometimes fail prematurely or throw weird codes due to innacuracy. But yes universal fits will work if you keep the wire count the same

The 190 was at my regular mechanic it would have been close to 500 at my local Mitsubishi dealer for the same part. But I found if you change your Cat converter go onto eBay and search high flow cat you can get the universal one's that your exhaust shop can fit to your standard exhaust they run better clog less and they start at around 110 for a 2. 5 inch universal unit your exhaust shop can weld your old brackets on so it's still a bolt on part plus the car will run better with a clean cat

Lol, that guy probably doesn't work on cars. Everyone starts out somewhere and asking for help isn't a big deal. Anyway, not sure if you already figured it out but rough idling can be an issue with your upstream o2 sensor. How's your MPG? If you're running rich, your mpg is dropping, car running rough [as we already covered], your upstream o2 can be an issue. I suggest getting a obd tool to check it. It's really easy to change (just get some pb blaster, or equiv, to loosen it.

A lot of people do not realize how important the O2(Oxygen) Sensor is. Speaking from experience I can say that a bad O2 Sensor can destroy your fuel economy and reduce power significantly. My first car was a 1997 Mercury Tracer(PILE OF JUNK) Nevertheless, my O2 Sensor went out and I went from 300 Miles to a tank to maybe 180 Miles. Definitely check O2 sensor(s) if you notice a large decrease in fuel economy. Props to MCM for showing how this is done properly.

O2 sensor on my Volvo V70 was about 1k aussie dollars, at about the time when this was made. I didn't have a spanner even at that time, so the dealership got the job. Norway is an expensive country when it comes to cars, also you can't do shit to a car unless you wanna risk to void pretty much every insurance, warranty, and break every law there is: <
Point being O2 Sensors can be expensive. although they probably just overcharged about 1000%

do you understand that this is a DIY car community, people help other people out with their car troubles. i did diagnose my problem, with the help of someone's comment, and its been fixed now for several months.
and are you serious, are you that insecure that you have to first let me know that you go to the gym, and second that you can squat more than me? congratulations, that's a great achievement. try not to hurt yourself at the gym.

Did the o2 sensor in my car thinking it was that did the AFM aswell long story short turnt out to be a partially blocked Cat converter, pulled it out sprayed the bugger out with throttle body and carby cleaner put it back in with new gaskets went from 320km to the tank to 680km to the tank and improved the power and pick up to, Some times it can be the cat converter as I discovered (after spending 190 on having the o2 sensor replaced)

They are also very helpful, and as you can see, so are most people that watch it. so next time before you go making dumbass comments on 3 month old comments, you could think about what your gonna say, turn off your computer and go for a walk instead. but thats just a thought.

I have a 51 plate pug 306 diesel, and im pretty sure its running rich, would a standard sensor fit my car of do i need to go out and find exactly the right one? driving as economically as i possibly can i recon i'm getting about 50-55 mpg which is a little under the standard mileage for my car. it is also missing the back silencer on the exhaust as the pipe corroded so much it fell off - is this going to be reducing my mileage too?
