I hope u guys can tell me what i am doing wrong. So just installed new speakers in my car, a set of 6, 5' JBL GX600C plus a new HU, a Xzound MBT-10. No amp. My car is a Peugeot 206 1. 4 HDI - 2003
Anyway I installed it all, an they sound ok, I guess, compared to my stock speakers. But compared with my moms car, a VW Touran 2. 0 TDI - 2011, they are not even close at reaching the same amount and quality of bass that my moms car can produce. Both the speakers and the HU in the car are stock, also without an amp. Idk if I did something wrong when installing my speakers or if the speakers in my moms simply are way better even though they are stock and have never been replaced.

I understand that co-axial speakers are the alternative to a separate woofer and tweeter as it's configuration means that the tweeter is mounted in the central of the speaker cone. I also understand the purpose of a crossover as it transfers the audio signal low-mid range frequencies to the woofer and the high range frequencies to the tweeter but is there a specific type of crossover for a co-axial speaker?

I have a question, i've just bought all new speakers for my 2005 Subaru WRP10, they are 100RMS and will be running off a 500watt Kenwood 4ch i would like to know can i use the factory speaker wires from the door and then my thicker from the back of the head unit to the amp or should i run them directly to the new speaker? if so how would i go about doing it?

I absolutely hate those plastic clips that hold the door on. Last time I changed a speaker in a Chevy I broke 2 of them and had to buy them from the dealer. They only sold them in a pack of 15 and they were 10 dollars a piece. not 10 dollars per pack, 10 dollars PER CLIP. So, be careful if you're doing this kind of work.

LOL if only he knew that the pieces of wood were cut out to act as spacers so the magnet on the speaker wouldn't touch the power window track assembly. Always roll the windows all the way down before you start doing door speaker installs to make sure your speaker will clean the assembly

when connecting the wires from positive to negative will they play regardless of which one goes on which. idk if i plugged mine right bc it makes a loud vibrating sound when first turning the car on. but stops after like 4 vibrations

My stock speakers (i thought) were 6. 5in, so i bought said size, turns out the stock was actually 5. 75in. The wood spacer seems like a good idea so you don't have to cut metal and possibly forever screw up your door. lol

you can but if you live somewhere hot, the glue on the tape will start to get runny. Meaning it can come off. leave some nasty residue and maybe disconnect the wires. I just use crimps, you can get a bunch for a dollar.

when i turn my car on the speakers vibrate. where should i get detenning
paper so it will sound better and could my problem be bc i didnt Saudered my wires together. the just plugged in. i dont think i had to sauder them

i have a question my g. f has a toyota starlet put in 4 120 watt in front under dash and 6 190 watt in rear all four speakers work but docent sound properly no bass or treble i didn't solder any suggestions please?
