How-s this for a luxury car head-to-head video! We-ve got our hands on one of the most luxurious electric cars you can buy in 2021, the Mercedes EQS, and it's going up against one of the most luxurious petrol cars you can buy - the Mercedes S-Class! The question is, if you-re in the market for a luxurious car, which should you choose? Well starting with the EQS, we-ve got our hands on the entry-level model. As a result, it comes with a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Once you get going, it can deliver 330hp & 570Nm of torque. It-s super-heavy though, tipping the scales at 2, 480kg! Then we come to the new S-Class. Powered by a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol engine under the bonnet, it can put down 435hp and 520Nm of torque. Unlike EQS, however, it comes with all-wheel drive! Not only that, it-s a whole lot lighter, weighing in at 2, 065kg. So the S-Class is clearly ahead in the performance stakes, but how about everything else? Well to find out what we made of the looks, interiors, brakes and everything else in-between, you'll need to stick with Mat for this all-new group test!

A strongly-raked, stubby hood. from Mercedes? (in truth, the hood area - from the front shut line - is actually long; only, the extra-extended A-pillar eats into it)
Let's hope that Porsche (Taycan) and Audi (e-Tron GT) succeed as they stay true to their design style, and the pressure forces Mercedes to reconsider this misguided design philosophy of the EQ line. Regardless of what Gorden Wagener says, traditional design can and does work with battery technology (again: Taycan, e-Tron GT.
EVs don't need to -look like EVs-; they are cars, they should just look like cars.

The Mercedes of the future is not really a Mercedes. Its nothing more than a computer screen on the inside and an aerodynamic blob on the outside. When I think of the classic Mercedes of the late 60's and 70's like the original 600 and the 300 SEL 6. 3, that epitomizes performance luxury. Real wood and chrome made by craftsman. They symbolized luxury, Elegance, they were Aristocratic with that 3 pointed star at the front of the hood. That in it self enhanced the sense of solidity, stability, ride going down the road. The engines sounded good as well. No Mercedes has lost the plot with the EQS. Thank you but I'll stay in the past.

If let me choose btw EQS n S class, no doubt I would choose s class cuz the sitting headroom n led room in the back seats are better than EQS. Even though someone may say the ambient light of EQS is. somewhat called -active ambient light- and more colorful. than s class but I wanna say if ambient light of s class is Bright enough for more of s class owners and the main screen in the mid of console is qualified with high resolution like Samsung tv. Of course for young people may keen on the giant screen from left to right of front console, but s class is high-tech enough for me.

You know I don-t care how well the EQS drives are feels the design of the s class is suppose to be timesless and the regular car will be in years to come not that electric. Thing. What Mercedes Benz should have done is take the hyper screen and place it into the maybach cabriolet 6 vision model and make that car all electric that would have been the better thing to do I absolutely HATE the design of the EQS it-s just offensive having been an s class owner before I-ve had 3 of them 1986 560 SEL, 1990 300SEL, and 1995 S500 I loved all of those cars and all timeless

I bought a new 2021 E-class from Mercedes-Benz dealer and it came with many problems. Its been 2 months already and they can't fix the problems and don't want to refund me. DO NOT BUY MERCEDES ANYMORE! it comes with problems from the factory and you are forced to live with them. -
No repairs and no refund available. -
I contacted everyone regarding this, including the factory and they don't care. They say -ok, it hase these problems, but is still a good car. --
And the problems are very big. Most of them are engine and safety problems.

I think you completely missed the point of these cars. You are always keen on 0-60, 1/4-mile and so on. Noone in the customer group of these cars care about that. They want to be transported smooth and gentle, being able to type on their laptops, while being transported. Their chauffeur would never go 80 mph down a twisty B-road. He would get fired within the week. Try to test cars for what they are built for. If you only want speed and horsepower, then only test cars like Lambo, Ferrari and so.

5000 container ships are in use all over the world now. Each of those ships pollute as much as 50 Million cars and just 15 of them pollute more than all the cars in the world put together. The china funded environmentalists never speak a word about this because china needs container ships to ship the EV batteries, for which they are the world'd sole supplier. -

EQS THE FUTURE. Gas cars around 100 years of evolution. Just think what EV-s will be like in another 10 years. I own 2 Tesla-s. I charge at home with solar panels. I fly when I travel. Save $400/month on gas and home electricity with panels. . My Model X has 46, 000 miles. Never been to service center. Only maintenance were new tires at 30, 000 miles.

I'd get the eqs580 and see what I can trade that in for when a new eqs comes out. I want Tesla batteries in the Mercedes eqs580 with the Tesla motors with the Mercedes hyper screen long wheel base and add some massaging feature's that'd be nice maybe add a champagne flutes and cooler I don't need much space I'd like that to be an option

1st less expensive
2nd fedral tax credit-
3rd better interior[ imagine trqvelling at night like that]
4. Dual tone exteriors
5. 580 is quick
6. Fuel save, hence money save
7, dont wanna be chauffeured driven, wanna drive so enjoy the frknt hyper screen
