Shop the best EV deals with Carwow: This is the Skoda Kodiaq vRS! It’s the hot’ version of Skoda’s family-friendly 7-seater SUV. The question is, if you’re in the market for a performance car but need room for the kids, should you consider this new vRS Let’s take a closer look. In terms of design, it remains relatively similar to the standard Kodiaq, with a few minor updates. Up top, you have a black grille, a more aggressive lower bumper, side breathers, and of course, some vRS badging. Along the side, there are new 20 alloy wheels, as well as contrasting mirrors and window surrounds. At the back, there’s a full-length reflector strip, an aggressive rear bumper, and larger, exaggerated exhaust surrounds. On the inside, the design largely mirrors the standard car, with a few minor differences. There’s a 3-spoke steering wheel, red stitching throughout the cabin, and red colouring on the digital dials. There are comfortable, body-hugging sports seats, as well as aluminium pedals. Being the vRS, it also comes with the top-of-the-range large infotainment screen. Under the bonnet, you’ll find the same 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo as found in the VW Golf GTI. It produces 265hp and 400Nm, as well as all-wheel drive. The new Kodiaq vRS starts from 53, 690. So is it worth it And more importantly, does it offer enough performance to encourage you to splash the cash over the standard car Stick with Mat to see for yourself! Skoda 7seater family practical suv - NOT AT ALL, an SUV which consume in urban cycle way MORE than an bmw x3 3. 0diesel, IS NOT a practical family suv. Maybe hos diesel version could be, but not that kodiak which consume in city some 16L/100km.
ALSO far from PERFECT as will never be perfect any total aberration TWO TON FWD CAR, because (as you know) that car runs mainly FRONT WHEELS ONLY (99. 9% of running time.
Price difference between this car and an audi q5 diesel or an bmw x3 diesel is too marginal to matter for somebody which had that kind of money for a new family SUV.
Seven seater FOR WHAT To travel along your 3 kids AND god-parents How many families had 3 small kids in those days

I had a Octavia vRS diesel 2019. 2. 0 l, 184 PS. Fuel consumption was quite high over 7l / 100 km on normal driving. If I was driving fast on Autobahn (Germany) I would make like 350 km with a 45 litre tank. That was a 1500 kg car. By high speed the doors are flipping and the wind came into the car. Very poor quality. And something else quite weird was that every single door, randomly will get water inside when was raining. I didn't find the reason or the source where the water came inside the door. The car was beautiful, with the same colour as this Kodiak, was quick but very bad quality

I've Got 2022 RS Kodiaq and it's great, cruises comfortably at 100 mph on the motorway, using 10, 5 l/100 km, vast tall boot, with extra power I can tow trailer with ease, it's cheaper to insure and maintain than volvo or audi in similar spec. Plastics sometimes rattles and I'm worried about the gearbox dq381 had bad reputation, but till now great car

This 2. 0L 265hp engine was also used in the older Audi A5, which no one claimed that it's a sports car. This car is a 7-seater, normal, family SUV I would have expected at least a 3. 0L V6 from a sports car in this size, VAG wouldn't provide but 4. 0L V8 could be much appropiate too.

A feature which definitely puts me off buying it (after owning 2018 Kodiaq) is that idiotic gear selector stalk.
Can someone explain to me, why the control which is used 2 to 4 times during a trip took place of something potentially used dozens of times.

reply

Nope I can afford to buy them new. I buy them at 6 months old because there's huge savings and I'm not an idiot.
There's always new cars with only a few thousand miles on at huge savings. Anyone buying new needs their head read

Dont like scalp trading and stuff, to much stress. My way to multiply money is to get into the project as early as you can, and ride the wave. Nexulon NEX presale is your opprotunity to be early as you can possibly be.
reply

Watching Nexulon presale quietly gain traction while everyone else is glued to memecoins is wild. The ones building utility are the ones that win long-term. NEX token looks like a future blue-chip in the making.
reply

I do get it though. I can't afford two cars but I needed 7 seats. so I bought a BMW X5 m50d. love it 400 bhp and over 800 nm of torque. and I have fun in it and other BMW drivers who know know
reply

The way this presale is moving, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Elon drops a cryptic NEX tweet next month. I’m not banking on it but I’m stacking Nexulon NEX token just in case.
reply

Why spec a car these days when majority of it is cosmetic. Give me a brake pack give me a splitter pack give me options for steering wheels gear sticks limited slip diffs I don't care about paint
reply

If you missed the AI trend in 2023, you’re getting a second shot now. Nexulon is leading the charge into AI-integrated DeFi. And NEX is still trading at presale rates. Think about that.
reply

This is the sportier version so you should also have compared to the sportier boxster a which is faster. Of course, why would you be comparing it to a car that is 20 years old in the first place
reply

I dont think those who buys Kodiaqs is a person who likes to go out for a weekend drive, so having a VRS version really doesnt make much sense. As Matt says, is more about the badge.
reply

The slander of Zohan is making me wonder if Mat is in league with The Phantom!
He clearly does not have a sock down there, it's his magical fluffy hair and nothing else!

reply

You'd think by now the interior designers would know about infotainment screens and stop making them look like an afterthought that's been glued to the dash last minute.
reply

The whole AI narrative is exploding, but most tokens are just jumping on the trend. Nexulon is actually using AI for real DeFi tools that’s why I’m buying now.
reply

5: 07 I don't know about you, but this alcantara in red tint looks dirty to me by default. It has this old taxi seat look, where 1000 sweaty backs leant on it. Not a fan.
reply

great car, probably still the best choice for anyone looking for this type of vehicle. But Matt is right, not with this engine. 190ps diesel with 4x4 makes way more sense.
