like the other person, I am not criticizing. I'am a greatfull single mom of 2 wonderful people and a heart stilling grandson. I'm on a fixed income. I'm on disability for a brain injury when i was little. life has been a struggle, but one i would not change. I have a 2003 kia sodona ex van that i was blessed with for 50. It belonged to a taxi company prier to being hit in the back, for insurance reasons they dont keep vehicles that have been in wrecks. Some privet back yard auto shop got it and it sat in a rat infested filed for 4 or so years before i came along. I Got a family discount for taking care of a 92 yr old lady ( my daughters boyfriends mothers ex husbands mother) that was recovering from a fall that left her with a broken hip. she had dementia as well. Her family couldn't afford a care taker. I've had the van almost 2 years. It has run great so far with little maintenance. what work that has been done has been by my 25 yr old daughter and myself. The way you did this video made it so much easier to fallow. Maybe not every nut and bolt, maybe just the start of it normal, the middle ( all the nits and bolts) fast foreworded, then the end normal. So its not so long. Kinda the best of both worlds? I've struggled trying to fallow other videos like yours with much frustration. I wanted you to know a little more of my life and struggles so you will also know how much more i appreciate you doing this video out of spite. (: I truly believe everything happens for a good reason. I will be fallowing you from now on so don't freak out. lol really. thank you for making are life better with what you do!

I learned the hard way not to trust aftermarket coil packs just a couple days ago. I had a coil pack go bad on my 2007 Camry at about 130, 000 miles. I replaced it with an aftermarket model, which worked well for a while. But then it just went bad at 166, 000 miles! To make things worse, the aftermarket boot stuck to the spark plug on the bottom of the spark plug tube. Ugh! Thankfully it was on the front bank but it turned a 14 minute job into a 2 hour job just trying to fish out the rubber bits in the rain. A brand new OEM coil pack from my local dearler cost me about 12 more than the aftermarket part that went bad! Lesson learned! The other 5 OEM packs are still going strong.

Eric - Some really old physics - A spark works best when the negative electrode is the sharp one. This has been known ever since the days of the static electricity entertainment industry of old with the big rotary static generators. Between two identical sharp pointy electrodes the polarity does not matter but between a flat surface and a sharp point the breakdown is easier and you get a better spark when the sharp pointy electrode is negative. It's easier to spray electrons out from a sharp point than suck them into a sharp point.

Love ur vids. but every time you rant about how great OEM parts are I have to roll my eyes. Buying the cheapest china part isnt the best way. but there are plenty of aftermarket companies who make quality products and are usually priced at 1/4 of what the OEM part runs and work just as good. Other then that. great vid as usual. Oh and to the person whining about every bolt being recorded and whatnot. dude. if you cannot follow the SMA repair vids. you need to start hiring someone else to do ur work for you.

Mister o you would be a great aircraft mechanic. You also would be a great OJT leader. You explain everything and point out everything that you can. The lot of us are watching on a cell phone and we may not see exactly everything you're pointing at. I don't know maybe I should drive up to New York from Florida and have a beer with you! 2005 kia Sedona trans filter location? It's not under the pan on the front side. Kia dealer gave me a printout that falls short of a location. No videos on YouTube. Most people are led to believe one does not exist. Parts house sold me one. Kia dealer shows one. Ug I am really starting to hate this car. Lol

Ha. I'm a couple years late. I think the video is self explanatory with your simple explanation as you go. Dunno why others would complain. I do want to know how long it actually took because I do some side wrenching and don't have access to time/ labor guide. Great video by the way. Thank you

I've done this job on our Kia, also the timing belt & water pump. went with OEM parts because they're good & you definitely don't want to do the job again because you went with cheap parts. original timing belt had 130k on it ' over due ' but still looked great. van still running excellent with 170k

I don't know if you realize that you through your mannerisms and the work ethic you display here you generate Trust. Not just trust that you're a good mechanic I trust in you as a man. You're what I call good people. And I'm sure your family is good people as well.

I have a 2007 kia sedona that im trying to fix myself. I have absolutely no idea wat im doing but im learning from your video. Hopefully i can get it running because its so cold outside. And my kids are tired of walking. Fingers crossed.
