southmainautorepairllc. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5. 7L, originally had a no start/ short start 2 secs or so then quit. Towed to my buddies shop and vehicle locksmith company they use and ended up getting original ECM programmed without Skreem module (could not get it to work, got an ECM online (since mine is nearly impossible to find anywhere. And communication seemed better but still no luck, so got the skreem and they got it running but have and SRS light and security is constantly on - alarm goes off and times out after approximately 30 secs when doors open, also the power door locks only locks the doors (NO unlock) and lights flash when fob keys are hit. But does not actually complete the function of unlock/lock or trunk open etc. Any opinions on the matter/ guidance you can offer? Been 3 weeks of scratching our heads (atleast she is drivable for now)

greetings friend i'm from venezuela i say bad english i use google to talk to you. I have an explorer 2010 4. 0 v6. I have abs lights on, skidding, handbrake. the scanner code b1342 error or ecu error appears. The module was sent to be checked on a test bench and everything went well, I tested the direct positive 2 pins (1-32) and the direct ground (16) on the abs module cables as well as the positive one for the suiche. I also tested pins 12-13 of the 61 ohm given by the two module communication pins. I would like help with this friend please something else that I can review. here the situation is difficult to have experts. the 4 abs sensors are perfect the scanner allows me to see that they work perfect.

Hi, Shawn here from Minnesota. I use your website often. Never wrote in. I have a 05 Ford Escape. Came in with a missfire, cylinder #5. Figured coilpack or something easy. Turned out to be a driver in the ECM. Replaced the ECM with a used one, erased and reprogrammed the Keys, Plural. Customer only had one key. Now theres 2. Now starts and runs great. Everything seems fine except ABS light is on with code B2900 VIN miss match. I have a snapon solus scanner. What needs to be done to get rid of that code? Dealer? Can I reprogram with the solus? what needs to be reprogrammed? I suspect the abs module. But not sure. I'm sure you get tons of Email so if you don't respond it fine. thanks Shawn

Amazed at your knowledge and abilities with diagnosing and repairing almost anything you can get in your garage. This video is the closest to my girlfriends issue with her 2003 Ford Windstar and we both were hoping you maybe knew of any place in the Fort Worth or Dallas area that you trust or would recommend to help with a similar type job that wouldnt cost a fortune? You probably know this but here goes. Those small half cube SPDT relays are called Micro ISO relays. The full cubes are likely Mini ISO otherwise known as Bosch automotive relays.
Your autopsy shows a load resistor across the coil so you need to be sure your replacement has one. Del City and others sell these for less than 5. Honda uses this style as well. GM used 280 series mini ISO and micro ISO relays that mate with Metripak 280 terminals in the fuse centre just to be different.

It a shame that I didn't come across this video fix 6months ago I had the same problem when I replaced my car battery, which I have done Manny times on various cars without any problem
but some how I managed to do this on my 2004 Ford I could not get anyone to come out to my home and help with this problem. The pcm sold between 175 to 600 to buy then I needed a new ignition switch / steering column way to much money for my pension so I sold it for scrap

But would anyone kindly be able to tell me what that scan tool is, and maybe if I could get something like it in Australia, particularly for GM Holden/ALDL cars? Yes I could get a Tech 2, but if I can get something that does ALDL and OBD/CAN, thatd be awesome. But Im curious as to what this tool is, either way. Cheers!

I have a 2011 crown vic and when I cut my headlights on my driver side light want come on and my brake light, Abs light and traction control light comes on and it wil show a left signal light arrow which will be solid! I was wondering do anybody have a ideal what it could be?

So, connecting the battery up backwards fries the computer. Manufacturers could put in a fail safe for this, maybe a fuse link or something. I guess they don't expect this to happen but after reading the comments here it happens more often than you think.
