its crazy. in 1993 we got the Mclaren F1. With 1140kg dry weight and 628hp from an N/A V12.
nowadays we have the MC20 in its GT2 Stradale version that weights 1350kg and makes only 3hp more then the F1, despite being a twin turbo.
i really love the styling of the MC20. but i expected more from the successor of the legendary MC12.
even MC12 is btw. 25kg lighter then the MC20 and makes the same amount of horsepower from its N/A V12.
the MC20 would be a completely different weapon if it had a twin turbo V8 or N/A V12.

This car is very lazy on maserati, only 10 hp and a weight loss that doesnt make sense considering the normal one is heavier than a 296gtb is weird and the aero isnt extreme enough, the gear sounds too long so didnt even regear the car for a shorter snappier drive, lazy lazy lazy which is what maserati has been since the MC12

Dear Matt, I like your video's a lot and your assessments are usually spot on. Maserati though, despite all good intentions has been a bleeder forever. I'm afraid Stellantis cannot afford to continue like this and will kill Maserati sometime soon.

Normally I love the track-oriented versions of super cars like Porsche GT series, McLarens LT cars, Ferrari Scuderia / Speciale / Pista. But this just doesn’t give me the same fizz. One of the rare times I’d rather have the base car.

Definitely like this over standard but MC20 depreciation is so terrible be a fool to buy one new. You have to REALLY want one to spec and order. Maserati has some bold goals with over 900 build units.

wow. a whole 10hp extra. I gotta lay down. for F sake Maserati, at least crank it up to 650 for that kinda money, make it a little bit special.

This looks much cooler than the standard MC20. This or a Huracan Performante The sound of that V10 might clinch it.
