As a 2023 Ascent owner, Subaru's old-school physical gauges never bothered me. Most digital clusters in economy brands aren't really more useful, it just looks pretty on a test drive. Other than having the map in the cluster, this Subaru implementation doesn't seem to break that trend. It literally shows the same exact info as the old cluster screen, except it is more spread out. Frankly, I would rather Subaru dump more money into the infotainment screen. (It's not bad, but it definitely needs improvement)

This is a nice option but I'll commend Subaru's current LCD; I think it's very well done. I have no strong desire to spend money on more screens; although the themes and moving map are kinda cool. And I'll add that the laggy infotainment really doesn't offend me. (I'm currently shopping for a '24 Crosstrek)

Maybe I'm the only one but i really don't care about car infotainment past a certain point. My '17 Golf had a basic screen with Apple carplay and Android Auto and i really don't care about any innovations beyond that.

I'm old fashioned. I hate all this tech in a vehicle. A screen like this, in addition to that large infotainment screen, will definitely deter me from buying a subaru.

A nice improvement, but odd that they kept the same center display with graphics that look 10 years old. And laggy responses on par with the worst in the industry.

Glad to see the CarPlay navigation projected in the digital instrument cluster. More cars should adopt this, especially those that already have digital instruments

I'm happy with the existing analog cluster on my 2024 Outback, one for RPM and one for MPH. It looks beautiful at night time driving in white LED color.

They’ve actually had this in the JDM VB WRX since it launched. In fact they’ve had this cluster in the Outback and Levorg in Japan as well.

I'm weird. I was so impressed by Lexus gauges from the 90s through 20-teens. My 23 Outback gauges are close enough and I really like them.

Both the Ascent and Outback should be redesigned for MY2026; I would expect it in both (although probably not in all trim levels.
