Great video trip. I watch it while I’m on my NuStep and exercise bike. I’ve watched several others but this one I have traveled a couple times in the eastern Montana section and numerous times fromCentral Wis to Wash, DC going to & from College in the 60s ant the Pittsburgh to DC via the Penn Turnpike more times than I can remember. Besides remembering family trips DC to Wis & back, those straight through 20-22 hour trips from N Wis up on Lake Superior to East Coast, don’t miss that grind but glad to have the opportunity. Watched the Nova Scotia to Fla Keys before this one so my next couple will be rail trips by RailCowGirl in Norway or elsewhere in Europe. I flew out of Dulles when it was new and there wasn’t anything built up around or leading to it. Just a big airport out in the middle of nowhere! How times have changed. If your looking for another trip let me recommend the Lake Superior Circle Route. We took it back in the mid 90s and allowed 8 days, it wasn’t enough could’ve used another 3-4 to see it all. Thanks

After that, I checked out Deadwood and Devil's Tower before heading to Yellowstone through Cody, WY. And finally rejoining I-90 in Bozeman, MT and continueing West. August is a great time to do this trip. It's light out so late that far north and makes the driving very enjoyable. As well, stopping in the national parks really changes the experience. Having lived so long on the East Coast, I didn't have an appreciation for the wonders of the national parks. Anyhow, thinks for sharing your trip.

I loved so much this road trip, even I got to see for first time four states that I have only heard before; Montana (I loved this more especially for his plains and mountains, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Watched it in 2x speed while listening to the album "Deathconsciousness" by Have a Nice Life; that music honestly fit perfectly with a lot of bits in the first half, specially the Montana-North Dakota bit - looks like an apocalyptic wasteland! I've always thought that the Western US has that sort of apocalyptic quality to it of many places

It has been terrific to view the winter weather step between Montana State in one side and Nord Dakota and Minnesota state on the other side. Temperature average in Montana on 0-3 degrees, and terrible snow storm with temperature of -20 degrees in ND and arctic freezing weather in MN nearby the great lakes. Fantastic.

do you have a cross country video doing the southern route This one was awesome, and I've always wanted to do this, and the southern route. I've driven cross country on I80 several time because it was the quickest to get to family. The Northern and Southern routes would be for pleasure, someday.

Sorry if this has been addressed already in the comments but the real time video has feet and miles/h whilst this fast version has km/h and metres
I do prefer real time so will watch the remainder of this trip from Minneapolis on the slowest playback speed which makes it real time

Could you upload the final stretch from Minnesota to Washington DC please at normal speed so I can complete my trip.
You totally rock but trips at high speed are useless if your on an excercise bike.

Appreciate the detour into DC when after 4 days on the road you could be forgiven for justing wanting to get home asap. Also the numerous stops to clean the winscreen, especially on Day 3, it must have added at least an hour onto your overall trip.

soo am I seeing this right, you only need to do the portion from San Antonio to LA on the I 10 to have driven a round trip across the entire us that's amazing I hope you'll do that since I'm not gonna be able to visit the us anytime soon

How did you like waking up to minus 9 F in Minneapolis. The good news is that it could have been quite a bit worse. At least you didn't have a typical northwest wind, which would have made it feel absolutely horrible.

You took the I94 all the way up to New Buffalo MI before turning back to the I80/90. This is when there was no GPS info so I am guessing that is the reason.
