From winter to summerthis road trip was done in January, 2021 and done mostly along the Atlantic coastline through six total states and Washington, DC from Virginia to Florida. Overall, weather was decent (but cold or below average temps) throughout most of this trip. Unlike previous road trips, I've included the outside temperatures in this video. Also, this videowhile over 7 hours (at 4x time-lapse)is presented in UHD. Also, this trip mostly avoided interstate highways, and focused on US and state highways, particularly US-13, US-17, and FL-A1A/US-1, instead. The states passed through are: Virginia0-2: 23 District of Columbia2: 23-2: 24 Maryland2: 24-42: 39 Virginia42: 39-1: 16: 49 North Carolina1: 16: 49-2: 31: 40 South Carolina2: 31: 40-3: 33: 22 Georgia3: 33: 22-4: 08: 15 Florida4: 08: 15-7: 11: 32 As with all of my road trip videos since 2018, this was recorded using the Garmin Virb Ultra 30. This drive was done in a 2018-2020 Chrysler Pacifica

2: 49: 36 The southernmost point I have been to in my own car (I drove from New York. It was quite exhausting (but fun) drive for me, since I did most of the driving during the night (and arrive at the hotel at 12AM) since I like touring around every major attraction (like the OBX, Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, etc) instead of bypassing them. Georgetown-Myrtle Beach was my favorite destination, because it provided a huge contrast over just like 30 miles, from the hustle, bustle, and fun of Broadway at the Beach to the peace and quiet of the Georgetown Boardwalk (Seriously, you couldn't hear a thing except for the river and the boats, and the creak of the boardwalk, except for the area right next to a riverside bar. I'd recommend stopping at each major city for at least 30 minutes. You'll find many hidden gems in many of them.

Adding the temp is such a beautiful add on. So is the elevation. the map and all i think you have this perfectly setup. Keep adding videos please! Maybe some of you heading upwards towards the mountains NC mountains or something similar like how you drove across colorado. Id love to watch the temp in the winter times and see the snow show up

Unclecoolie, I am your big fan. Following you since 2017.
I have a few questions for you:
1. Which camera did you use for this video
2. How did you get the temperature
3. What is the video editing software that you use for overlays

reply

UncleCoolie - love your videos. Do you ever sell them Would love to have a copy of your Fresno to Ely real-time vid. Brings back wonderful memories of a very similar route I took some years ago. Thanks

nice route with snow in the beginning. only I am shocked that many areas there are far below sea level. I live in the Netherlands and there is also a part below sea level, but it is even worse there

Excellent idea of including outside temperatures here, keep on the good work.
I'm thinking about recording some road trip timelapses here in Brazil where I live as well, might start soon.

How many easter eggs did you place in total I was losing my mind about a circle I thought to have noticed at Norfolk. Rewinding did not let me down. Hail to the frigid palm tree!

Currently live in California. Been saving up for my first place, saw on zillow how cheap the houses are in Florida. Very tempting to move there.

Good to see a new video. But will there be a real time version of this one Timelapse is too stressful for me in the middle of the night: ).
reply

7: 15 This road is also Interstate 595, but you won't see it listed as such on maps. It's one of the so-called Hidden Interstates.
reply

Great! Just wondering, how did you manage to put the temperature into the video Waiting for the real time vids! Thnx so much!

You should plan a road trip to Flagstaff/Sedona Arizona, it has a very scenic view I'm sure you and your viewers would love!
