Join me on a bushcraft camp overnight in a debris shelter with Dustin from Bushcraft Tools and Haze Outdoors. We camp in the woods in a natural debris shelter made from logs and cedar boughs. We fire up the lanterns and build a log bench bushcraft style with an axe and saw. At night I sleep on deer hide beds with a wool blanket. This is part 1 of a 3 day camping trip. Part 2 is up next week Get my Livin' Good in the Woods T-shirt and Hoodie Design here: Haze Outdoors: Bushcraft Tools: Music: Home by Simon Alexander

Though dried, prunes and dates are very different fruits from very different trees. A prune is the dried form of a plum. Plums are considered stone fruit due to their pit like seed. Stone fruit comes from deciduous trees. Dates on the other hand come from the date palm, which is obviously a palm tree. Both are considered a superfood. They are a high source of fiber, provide long lasting energy source without spiking blood sugar levels, and rich in antioxidants, among other things. We groth both here in California.

About the 13: 00 minute mark, i couldn't take it any more. I went to the kitchen and made myself a cheeseburger. That wouldn't be so unusual except it's 1: 30 A. M. Ha, your cooking around the campfires in your videos make me hungry. Great videos you are putting out. I enjoy them a lot here in Kentucky, USA. I recently had Knee replacement surgery and have to stay bed/chair fast and indoors until i recover. So, being unable to go outdoors, i just go camping with you and your friends a lot Thanks: )

Hi Mike. As usual loved the vid. Came across another Bushcraft guy's vid you might wanna watch. He rips off your cooking. lol. His name is Jay Legere he's Canadian. Watch his 'extreme' camp. Temp is -34c. BTW, took delivery of my new Lavvu. It came flatpack lol. If you already haven't done so, could you do a vid on setup? From unpacking it and buttoning it up to the finished article.

I had two brother in laws whose beer now & then led to becoming alcoholics by age 40. They both died in their late 50's. and they made alcoholics of my two older sisters, who died in their early 60's. Make you a bet Mike. I bet you are turning into an alcoholic if you can't totally give up booze for one full year. Think about that.

Crikey Mike, I can smell those Burgers from here. My screens fogging up. Ha Ha. You can't beat eating like this outdoors. Graeme seems to be enjoying this too with his latest videos. As Winter approaches i reckon my Trangia Cooker will be getting a workout while Fishing by the Sea. Cheers Mike, Steve in Fife.

Really looking forward to part 2, I've got a question, do you polish your axe or do you just leave it? My Dad and I found an old axe once and we restored it, gave it a new handle and everything (lovely project with him) and now I'm not sure if I should polish it or not? Keep it upLeander

If you would like a light-weight tool, about the size of a pen, to assist in making your embers burn better on the ground then buy yourself an extendable magnet, remove the magnet, then you've got yourself an collapsible tube that you can blow on the embers with. Works awesomely

Ive said it before, I will say it again. Dustin really needs to open a restaurant. He is a naturalfood genius. Dustin's Drinks and Grub or Bushcraft Bar and Grill or Dustin's Bushcraft Pub. something. It would bea hit. He's got talent Great vid, thanks for sharing.
