Stormy Cityscape and Rainy Night in Manhattan, New York for sleep and study. The rain didn't last very long, but there was still some good thunder sounds. Video was filmed at 27 stories for the view but audio was captured at 15 stories for better listening. For privacy purposes many of the windows in this video with a lot of activity have been converted to still images. This video has a view of Midtown facing North during a thunderstorm. It features sounds of sirens, people talking, traffic and more.

2008, Financial Crisis: A man, 34 Years old, Name: Robert MacDonald, walks down the street, umbrella in hand, He walks down the lonely streets of New York City, to get to his apartment, he gets in an elevator, with 2 people, a man, most likely in his mid 50's, with a black fedora, and a stack of poker cards in hand, and a woman, most likely mid 20's, blonde, wearing a black jacket, he stops on his floor (5th floor) The man gets off too, but the woman stays on, he opens his apartment door, and walks inside, he locks it, throws his umbrella to the ground, walks to his XBOX 360, and launches up some GTA IV.

It's weird thinking every one of those lit-up and un-lit windows and all the sounds from the street is a different life getting played out separate from ours, and we probably will never meet. Some sad people, some happy people, some people coming into this world, and some people leaving this world Some people's worst day ever, and someone's best day ever. Or just people trying to get by with all their own worries and dreams.

Because of the lack of faith and trust that the government has given and supported to the soldiers of us government and their weapons and equipment and their equipment and gear is in the military hands and they will never have a chance of getting rid of any enemy who says to fight for freedom and the right people who are good people and who are not good people they will kill all those people that are enemy

I've been studying for a graduate school entrance exam for the past few weeks and lost my focus, this increased my focus and attention by so much that it's crazy. I'm not sure why, but listening to white noise of cities helps me. I just play this in the background with some soft music and I'm in another world. I especially love the sound of distant sirens.

Can we find out what they will be killed by us if you just let them go out of the building and then they leave the buildings free and they will go back home and then the military bases will be destroyed and xd break down the walls fo the base game on Steam

Hello. If you want to protect your ears from acoustic impact, I recommend that you use a piece of cotton. Put it in such a way that you have your hearing protected, but at the same time, that it lets you hear. Thank you.

There is something so soothing about cities at night knowing that people are still around doing their things, it feels comforting. I live in an Italian province and the absolute silence drives me crazy

Something about listening to the sounds of the city from above is oddly peaceful. It's wonderful for focusing or falling asleep to. Thank you so much for making this: D

Mate you're an absolute god send, you've probably helped many people study, sleep, or do whatever whilst listening to this. Keep up the great work!

WOW it sounds so realistic that i turned my volume up for the street sounds and didn't realize that the police siren was coming from the video

It makes me feel so weird that every one of those sounds and windows is somebody who we will probably never meet living their own lives

Anyone else listening to this because they miss the ambience of a hotel room and you go to sleep when you are on a trip?

The video is very short, the image is beautiful, could you make one just like it but last longer? for there are 5 hours
reply

If I had a view like that, I could spend one hour just looking through the window in the evening during a thunder storm

This sounds AMAZING. Is it possible to get permission from you to use as ambient background sound on a song?

These stormy Gotham nightscapes are sublime. I hope you'll have the opportunity to record more of these.
