I'm really jelaous of the people here saying these sounds help them fall asleep. I grew up in a very quiet part of the big city, and at night there were no traffic sounds. now I moved to a different city and there is a quite busy street right down my window I wear ear plugs and still it disrupts my sleep, now I am dreading going to sleep because I known annoyance awaits, especiaIy in the early morning when people start going to work. I came here hoping I can get used to these sounds as relaxing and positive cross your fingers for me, I hope this works

This reminds me of my childhood. Me and my dad went down to england alot and we would reach hotels very late night. I remember us both being so tired so we would never talk in the way in, we would just head the roadside and all the cars passing. It calmed me so much, and still does. When i cant sleep i put this on, so thankyou
Edit: (I'm from Scotland so we went down alot, as we like to say down south)

Im visiting my family for the weekend for the first time since college started, and its been wonderful to see them again. But the silence at night is so deafening compared to the sounds outside my dorm window at night. This video is exactly what I needed, some background noise to help me feel at home: )

me and my boyfriend are long-distance and whenever I go visit he sleeps with the windows cracked open to get some noise instead of complete silence and I've just come home from a long weekend with him and I'm really missing him so I'm playing this and its really comforting. feels like I'm back with him

I lived in California until I was 19, my childhood home had a freeway right in the backyard. The only thing separating us from it was a brick wall. This video reminds me of all the nights I'd lay in bed and listen to the cars passing by until I finally fell asleep. Thank you so much for posting.

Thank u so much for this video! My just turned 4 year old has special needs and autism, we play this on our bedroom TV every single night, all night long since I don't know when, It is the only thing that settles him and keeps him settled, all night, so thank you.

I find it very comforting to assume these voices are thoughts inside my head.
That's why I believe that instead of my thoughts occupying my brain, I turn this sound to the background and believe that my thoughts flow with this sound.
It feels good

Thank you for this. My 6yr old is autistic and has the window open in the summer to listen to the cars driving by. With it being so cold and cost of living he can't hear the cars as good so this is perfect for us. And I don't have to freeze my butt off

i feel like this is one of those sounds not many people get why its relaxing, but it just is. theres something oddly comforting about the sounds of distant traffic at night. the world seems less dead when you know theres always people going places.

I remember growing up next to a busy street that hearing the traffic really gave me comfort for some reason I would happily drift off to it.
since moving there is no such sounds so I've come here to seek solace

Ive spent so much time in my life travelling and or riding in a car for one reason or another thats its become calming almost as relaxing as lying down on the sofa after a long day and not being disturbed

Nahum 2: 4
The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

Not criticizing. I live next to a road and traffic lights and really sensitive hearing and my ears ring at night cause of it, but I can see how it could be calming too.

My newborn loves the sound of traffic. When she gets worked up, I just take outside and the busy street sounds (usually) calm her right down. This is the next best thing.

Flat being kinda loud with music, from London used to traffic so I thought I would try this to sleep, don't want to spoil their fun, not at this stage of anyway

I use this to sleep every night, it works and Im not willing to try a different one, and risking my semi adequate sleep schedule, that I worked so long to achieve

It would be nice if this video contained the date & time for context so that I could know for example when it is 3am vs 10: 30pm
