The WORST Flight of 2022: Air India Regional Nikhil: Delhi airport has some rude people working there for sure; the people working in Mumbai/Coimbatore/Chennai airport were a lot more relaxed; but Delhi is also a shthole filled with some arrogant pricks-- thats coming from someone who was born there. Delhi is ok for a day or two, but overall if you want to enjoy your time in India, avoid Delhi as much. Now having said that; there are also some cool things about the Delhi airport itself that I loved, my last trip there, to be honest, I had a few rude security officers, but everyone else working there was overall on the nicer side.

The thing I love about India is that it can be so beautiful, the people so friendly and warm, the technology incredible and accessible yet every day you can be sure there will be an incident of some sort that is totally infuriating. Its usually a bureaucrat or a taxi driver or a hotel receptionist or something very petty in the course of things. But on the whole Ive learned to love this country - it gives so much and takes so little.

As an Indian American, I agree with the fact that Indian airport security screening is not a pleasant experience, these security officers are uneducated and often abuse their powers thinking they know all the rules and laws. The worst experience I have had was at Amritsar (ATQ) airport, where the security were really rude and made me empty my entire bag just because I didnt take out my chargers. This is ridiculous.

Noel, that wasnt pissed off! I wish you could have seen me in Geneva airport 20 years ago - I had to jump between my dad and a fool who was queue jumped at check in. He started pushing my dad like a girl because my dad called him out on it! Lets just say the family, and the rest of the queue, appreciated a quiet intervention from me - and he saw me genuinely as angry as Ive ever been!

Never in all the years of following this normally polite patient Englishman have I ever heard Mr Noel being so fng pi$$ed off!
The way that idiot just through your things about was appalling, expensive equipment thrown about like he didn't give a toss.

I think you have flown Alliance Air not Air India which is owned by the Govt of India.
You have used Air India in the title which is inappropriate since it is seperate entity owned by Tatas now
For your information alliance air is not sold to TATA'S along with Air India & Air India Express which is completely owned by Govt

Airport security in India definitely is the worst in the world. not an iota of doubt. the scanners are dated and most of those CISF guys takes enormous Pleasure in harassing people in the name of security. most of them are from North of india. perhaphs they are far away from home and that may be the reason for their belligerence

Immigration at London Heathrow for Non EU passports is the worst. U have to wait hours in the queue because there is only 2 immigration officers where as for British passports there are like 10 immigration officers hence British passports are mush faster. Heathrow needs to sort this out and treat all passport holders fairly

The whole travel experience to India sucked for me. Extreme security practices both in and out.
Had to throw away expensive items because India doesnt allow batteries.
Delhis security checkin had us take out all of the stuff from our bag. In a crowd like that we felt uncomfortable taking all of our belongings out.

That new terminal (T3) in Delhi is 1000 times better than the old one. I just counted and I am at 47 to India. All but 4 are to Delhi. I actually had to bribe some of the security at Delhi before as they gave me a hard time about my CPAP machine. I think I slipped them 1000 INR. Sad they have that reputation.

I fly between New York and Florida about once a month, so that's a minimum of 2 flights. I don't know what's wrong with the TSA, I fly pretty often and have never once had a problem. And then I got TSA pre and CLEAR and now I barely ever have to interact with the TSA at all.

So wait the security in India is the worst because they are making you follow the rules of their land? The reason I hardly make personal choices based on these videos. One person ego being broken doesn't mean everything is bad. but I do like seeing the different places.

Last time you were almost lost 2k$ by a con artist, now being mad by a rude security check, it looks like Delhi is not a very promising place to visit. As far as scenic flight is concerned, have you ever tried ISL - KDU, you will get the surprise of your life.
reply

Noel, you are not the only one. Most Indians hate the APSU (Airport Security Unit. It is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, which is why they act like thugs. I have had terrible experiences with them, almost every time.

It's always interesting to see how standard are different in different countries. Imagine if you hopped on a Delta a321 in the US and saw a window that dirty. Does it happen? Yes, occasionally, but passengers wouldn't be happy.

Hahahaha I love your reactions, totally priceless. Traveling is fun, isn't it? Love your videos keep them coming and safe travels my friend. Whew that ATR72 you were on, scary airplane, piece of junk and filthy

Calling Indian airport security worst only shows how ignorant these European fools are about the reality of the region. Absence of this so-called 'worst security' is what led to twin tower attack in US. remember?

You should fly to the new airport in Pokhara Nepal. That will blow away anywhere in the world when it comes to beautiful scenery.
Airport seurity in India. Yepp, you're spot on! However, great video!
