Hiked Half Dome 5 times between 1966 & 1987. Way before reservations & permits were required. Just show up, but that was another time. Always started in Happy Isles at 6 am & was back by 6pm. Now I just drive up to Glaicer Point & look over at the magnificent views. First time I have seen the cables with no one one them. You guys picked the perfect time. Looking forward to your trek through the Dolomites.

Was super excited for this and as always you didn't disappoint Kraig seems like you guys had a great time doing half dome together, super inspired to hopefully get to do this hike myself one day

Great video! Was meant to hike Half Dome in July last year as part of the JMT but the Oak Fire put paid to that. What's it like going down the cables? Thats the part which makes me nervous.

tons of people line up all the way and you'll get stuck in a hiker jam near the peak
