She's a beautiful ship, and it looked like you had a good time! But, I could never go on Virgin, because they do Flag of Convenience! I was in the Navy and I know how much work goes into operating a seagoing vessel, and I just can't support these companies registering their vessels in 3rd world countries so they won't have to pay their mariners well or treat them well. Not to mention avoiding UK law regarding emissions and environmental compliance, and safety issues.
Just for example, a mariner on a UK flag ship could expect to be paid at least 3000 USD/month, probably more. But on Flag of Convenience, they can pay 200 USD/month, and that's legal because Panama or the Bahamas isn't going to worry about how much they pay! It's atrocious!
Virgin really disappoints me, because their aircraft have G tail numbers, meaning registered in the UK, but they can't register their vessels in the UK
I feel the same about Disney not using US Flag ships. No reason they can't have the ship made in one of the east coast shipyards where they have made ships larger than Disney Magic. But they don't want to comply with EPA standards, they don't want to hire Americans and pay them American wages, etc. So disappointing.
Did you know that Princess used to have three ships that are UK flag, and now only two They re-flagged one of them to Bahamas in September! argh.
The list of companies that do big cruise ships that are not FOC (there are lots of small cruise ships that are US Flag, National Geographic has four of them for example) is very small.
- Ponant (France)
- Costa (Italy)
- Holland America (Netherlands)
- AIDA (Italy)
- Viking (Norway)
- NCL only has one US Flag ship, the Pride of America. I would sail on that ship any day. She only goes around the Hawaiian Islands; the law requires that if you go from one US port to another, with no other country in your voyage, you must use a US Flag ship.

Been there done that. The drag queen shows are so passe. The shows in general were awful or non existent. Trust me, do not do the comedy show. It was literally the opposite of funny. The food was above average. The service was great. No kids was a nice touch. The vibe was mostly chill, which was excellent. The flamboyant gays were everywhere and ridiculous. The cruise app was a joke. Wifi was better than average. The balcony was smaller than average. The excursions were so so. Oh, and you can raise the flag all you want, that doesn't mean anyone is actually coming to serve you. Very hit or miss. And it was way more expensive than it should have been. Took about a month of constant calling to get $300 back that they overcharged us on the final day folio. So, a mixed bag. Probably won't do it again.

Nice report as always, but it felt like you had somewhat sanitized the Virgin experience. For example, you enjoyed the comedy show, but offer no sense of whether it was as raunchy as others have reported. You mention the ice cream shop, while avoiding showing its spicy name. And while I understand that when you blur out passengers’ faces, you’re doing it as an act of respect for them and their privacy, I can’t help but feel that the video loses something, because it’s hard to get any feel for your fellow travelers. But overall, good job.

I've been cruising for 30 years on all the major cruise lines. I love the concept of adults only but other videos I've watched were from the partying niche of bloggers. I was turned off thinking Virgin was non stop noise and mayhem. I cruise to relax and get away from all of that. This video alone has shown me that an early to bed early to rise kinda guy can enjoy Virgin as well. I'll watch this again and head to their website. Thanks for posting.

we booked a free 11-night virgin cruise last year by transfering some credit card points. After booking with points, i was honestly surprised how much was still left to pay. $0. We ended up splurging on some bar tab and shore excurisons, but we literally could have walked on/off that ship without being obligated to pay a cent more. That alone left a great impression for us, and we already booked another cruise.

Tips. As someone from the UK, where they are given as an appreciation for excellent service rather than as an obligatory addition, it always puts me off visiting the US. Shame that Richard Branson, a brit, has imposed this on his cruise lines. Pay the staff a decent wage and then tip for going above and beyond, not taking their pay above minimum wage. Great video non the less guys

Scarlet night was always fun, ands a late pizza was always good!

My wife and I just got off our first Virgin cruise yesterday. We were on the Valiant Lady out of San Juan. We have been on several others, mostly Carnival, and we had a great experience. My wife wants Suzanne to know that she got her bracelet caught in the hammock several times. Glad you guys did this video. Our experience pretty much matched yours.

Hi, we have been at Virgin and love it! But it is very active within the party. We saw you missed the pajama party and the pool party on the Scarlet night. We finished our nights with pizza. Why you don't try the trampoline area It's a very cool experience. Well we love Virgin and plan to return next year.

This is NOT adult cruise this is a 1980 cruise. Why where was the nude sun bathing the share your spouse dance late night parties which was great. I think you are confusing venues in your titles. The next maybe named whites cruise which these will be applicable. Why have you guys swinged on a cruise.

I'm in the process of booking a Virgin Voyages cruise to Alaska next year. I went on a 7-day cruise to the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten on Celebrity Ascent in January this year. It was my first cruise ever, and I had a blast. It's an absolutely beautiful ship and the weather was perfect.

For the adults only cruise experience, I much prefer Viking Ocean. Ship design, service, & dining are a better match for me. Viking Ocean is a Scandinavian Modern floating Zen palace at sea. Will embark Viking Sky in a few days for a trans-Atlantic crossing. My ninth VO cruise.

I just did the math on the gratuity. That's a hundred and ninety eight dollars staff member for a four day cruise. That's not very good money, that's actually like poverty. Wages fifty dollars a day. When they could make four times that working in a restaurant somewhere else

You two do great videos. While it appears you had a good time, we wouldn’t call it a luxury cruise. First, too many people. Second, the ship appears to have many dark spaces, not open and airy. Third, the your room was very basic. But the price was certainly ok.

I am surprised everything included for $1200 for 4 days. That's actually pretty affordable, considering the F&B is included. I will be looking out for this cruise in the coming coule of years. Thanks a lot for sharing Jeb and Suzanne. I love your Vlogs.

Virgin voyages looks luxurious! Y’all should do a Panama Canal cruise at some point down the road. It’s an incredible and unforgettable experience. I’d recommend doing it in the winter, though, since it’s not as hot has late spring or early fall.

I will eventually take a Virgin cruise. I'm trying to wait until retirement, though! That said, when I go on one, I'm definitely going to play some Virgin Games from my childhood on board! Especially MC Kids, my favorite game from them!

Jeb - I'm not sure if you're saying Jetsetters or Jebsetters. If you're not saying the latter. might I suggest it At this point I feel you have enough of a cult following to make that work. Be sure to Trademark it though. ; )

Looks like a great time
But Suzanne why were you walking around the ship with your purse
I've been on a few cruises you don't need it
All purchases are assigned to your room
Wasn't there a safe in your cabin
