For me, Senegal was the most interesting place I've visited. Apart from the flight there, everything was really affordable. It was so different from anything I'd ever seen before, and the people there were genuinely curious as to why I had chosen to visit their country. Compared to Gambia (which I also visited, the people were more welcoming. In Gambia, due to it being a former British colony, most white people they see are rich people staying in luxury resorts who just wanted to go somewhere -exotic- but people spoke English. I very much got given the -tourist price- for everything, and everyone wanted to be my -tour guide- because they wanted money and saw me as rich. I felt I had to use a lot more common sense in Gambia than in Senegal. Also in both countries you 100% must barter with the taxi drivers or else they -will- rip you off (but then again, taxi drivers everywhere are the same)

Great video, thanks for more ideas. I totally Second that about Mexico! I took a solo trip to Mexico city last year. I just came back from Puerto Vallarta for my moms birthday. So true about good cheap street food.

Portugal is never mentioned in this type of videos. I'm sad -- As a Portuguese it's not very affordable for me to travel through the country but I think it's very affordable for foreigners -
