In todays vlog we head to ICON Park Orlando on International Drive, where we ride 2 of Orlandos newest thrill rides! The Orlando SlingShot is the worlds tallest slingshot ride at 300 feet. The two tower attraction will launch two riders out of an exploding volcanoapproximately 450 feet straight up into the sky and reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour! The Orlando Freefall is a daunting 430 feet and is the worlds tallest free standing drop tower. It holds 30 people and youll be able to see the beautiful sites of ICON Park and I-Drive as the tower rotates around the gigantic tower. Once the ride vehicle reaches the top, itll tilt forward 30 degrees and face the ground for a brief moment before free falling nearly 400 feet at speeds reaching over 75 miles per hour! Today was our most thrilling day of 2022 so far! If youre looking for an exciting afternoon of rides, food and shopping, we highly recommend checking out ICON Park, the Orlando Slingshot and the Orlando Freefall on your next trip!

Gosh watching these rides and comparing them to Cedar Point in Ohio is crazy. You HAVE to go to cedar point! Stay at the Breakers Hotel, it's the 1 hotel that is basically in/on cedar point. So it's fantastic for having a little kid with you because such easy back and forth. It also has 4 pools including a kiddie pool and splash area. It's on the beach and has Fantastic summer activities. Cedar point itself actually has some wonderful little kiddie areas and rides. To make the trip worth it as well. after a few days at Cedar Point head to Put-In-Bay Island for a few days. It's about 30mins from cedar point. It's a fun island where everyone rents and travels by golf cart the whole island. Restaurants, bars, candy store, gift shops, put put golf, butterfly house, campground, Lookout tower, beach, and a very cool cave excursion for families. Kelly's Island is the neighboring island and geared more towards families and hiking etc as well. Kalahari MASSIVE indoor/outdoor waterpark is near Cedar Point as well. SO MUCH to do there like zip lines, laser tag, put put golf, arcade, and exotic Petting zoo and kids can hand feed many animals like a giraffe.

Having rode zumanjaro at great adventure, the lift is 100% the worst part. The wait to hit the top finally always seems like minutes. I was shaking the entire way up but was so calm by the time we stopped I just looked at my friend and said what goes up, must come down. Slightly shorter ride but also slightly faster and the brakes HURT. I cant even imagine the seat tilting.

Something fun about working slingshot rides is that they have to have both seats filled or else itll be too unbalanced. Because of this, they will call out break room when theres a single rider and be like hey who wants to ride slingshot? Thats probably why theres a worker with Tim on the second ride
reply

Tim is so prim and proper as hes falling Oh my goodness! in the most polite tone as he free-falls
Edit to Add: Just saw the slingshot part and the contrast is hilarious. Tim: oh my gracious Other Guy: WOAHHHHH

You have to try Zumanjaro at Six Flags Great Adventure; its the drop tower inside Kingda Ka which is 425ft tall at 92mph its INSANE, this reminds me of that. LOVE International Drive so much to see and EAT.

Tims face of pure enjoyment on the 2nd ride of the slingshot looked exactly like Jackson when hes excited! Twins lol super cute. Also I could never ride either of those rides
reply

They couldn't even pay me to ride those. Those rides look terrifying. I don't like big drop rides I rode one at a space camp.
reply

I'm tempted to try the slingshot. I do Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa, I wonder if this drop tower feels similar or scarier.
reply

The fact that you are wearing that ridiculous mask in the middle of no people, made me not want to continue watching. enough said.

I miss going on rides its been over 14 years due a back injury if I do I risk of being paralysed. Its not worth the risk
