I can only recommend it. I was born in Germany but since the age of 9 I would spend my summer holidays at boarding schools in the uk, when I was 16 I moved to the UK for a whole year as part of a study abroad programme, after finishing high school in Germany I went back to the UK to study Law, now I am at University in Berlin and I have arranged for a year abroad in France! It's like an addiction and I feel that the experiences I was allowed to make as part of studying abroad are something invaluable, they will stay with me forever. I am so grateful for my parents allowing me and encouraging me to go abroad and making me see a whole different side of things. I love your videos Mark, they are very inspiring. There is no greater freedom than being in a new place, having to make friends, learning a new language etc. you will learn a lot about yourself!

The one thing I'm worried about is. my daughter wants to study abroad nex summer. She is just finishing up her 1st year in collge. She is only 16(gradauated early) She is very shy so I am wondering is there someone to guide her to where she needs to go and what she needs to do? Does a group of students fly over together to the country of choice? Do they live at the college? I don't think she would feel comfortable with a family but she may not mind a roommate. I would feel better if she is not living alone. I don't know ANYTHING about study abroad as I type this so any info would be really appreciated it.

I have lived in the UK all my life. what is pay money for health-care? We just don't do that here. it is included in our taxes. Prescriptions are all at the same fixed fee too (about $10) so doctors treat your illness not your budget. In fact when we travel across Europe we simply carry our health card and receive the same free treatment in whatever country we are in too. You funny Americans and your insurance!

Hii. My daughter wants to go for an exchange year to US but i am really worried if it is really safe? Also i don't know if her host family will be good or not. I am really worried but my daughter is really interested in it. Also i wanted to ask if living with a host family is more comfortable and a good choice or with a room mate? Are there any scholarships for it? Please suggest some trustable agencies

Hi! Any advice for me? I'm planning to study the univeristy in France but not in Paris since it's the most expensive city in the country. But I'd like to go to a nice city near the capital. What should I look for? I'm already learning french to get the DELF B2.
