We climbed Mount Rainier in Washington on August 5th and for Christof it was a day that he s thought about for a while. We decided to climb the mountain in one push from the parking lot. It s a lot of mountain to cover in one day with 9, 000 ft of elevation gain between us and the summit. In the end every step and every view was awesome. Rainier National Park never disappoints

this is so awesome. i love it. i've never done something like this. just did the northern loop of the wonderland trail. was incredible. wanted to ask a few gear questions: your jacket, hoodie, pants, and shoes. all of my gear seems so different but that might be cause i haven't summited a mountain like this. i know it's not about gear, but experience. but it is part of the struggle. finding the right gear. if you wouldn't mind maybe listing some of your gear, i'd love that. thank you! incredible post btw.

If you're coming from SLC then you have an advantage cuz that's 4, 200 feet, and flying in an airplane that's the equivalent of 8000 ft. If you're coming from Seattle that's sea level and it kills you to climb it in a day because of the acclimation

The funniest part about these videos is that they make everyone else's climbs/summits look like rookie fests.
I've climbed most of these Cascade mountains they have, and now I'm almost embarrassed to mention it because of these beasts; -)

I get on a Versa-Climber and in about 5 minutes my heart feels like it's going to pop out of my chest like in Alien. These guys climb Mt. Rainier like there going to Starbucks for a coffee. How do you even get in that kind of shape?

That was awesome and super-fast! I went on a 3 day guided summit climb in the 90s -- the view of Mt. St. Helens from the base camp was beautiful! Unfortunately, we had to turn back about 180 ft from summit due to bad weather: -(

I have been starring at this mountain for years. You made it look so easy. I m a athlete mostly running events but do any summer and winter sports and activities, and want in on mountaineering. What s the gear list?

Some Smooth Move organic tea the night before for a prompt morning bowel evac and melatonin for sleep go a long way on these kinds of trips. Not worth carrying poo around with you all day, not like it's doing much.
