Want to transform your body in the next 16 weeks Apply here to work with me 1 on 1: If I lost all my muscle in my 40s, this is exactly what I would do to gain it all back as fast as possible. Maybe it was due to time off from an injury, maybe life got in the way of training, or maybe it was just a long break for whatever reason. In fact, even if I was just getting into the gym for the first time in my 40s, these are the exact steps I would take to build my best body in record time. [MASS 40] FREE WORKOUT FOR MEN OVER 40

Allen I agree with you and the studies on sleep concerning T. But what about us that are on TRT or juicing I'm in my early 60s, had to stop lifting for a yr due to a severe back injury that landed me in spine surgery for 14 hrs. I ballooned up to 240 lbs over that yr of doing nothing.
Once cleared by my neurosurgeon to get back in the gym I'm once again a lean, mean fighting machine at 168 lbs with the help of some TRT. My wife has even commented that I got my Bruce Lee body again!

Whilst I agree with most of this I don't think eating at maintenance is going to help you recover your previous muscle mass quickly, particularly after 40. Whist I don't recommend getting fat, a slight surplus of 500 extra calories a day for the first few months should see most of the gains returm without causing much in the way of fat gain.

Guys my advice: don't do cuts! At least, don't do cuts for more then 4 weeks It causes loss of energy, power and muscle when you are 40. I made this mistake a few months ago. Still pushing myself to lift the same weights I've now fcked myself up ending up with injuries and overtraining. Now I have to take three steps back.
