Wow, your strength is insane, very inspiring
I've got these in my program and don't have the right equipment so I've been struggling with a chin up bar and a step up ladder - total disaster and not targeting what I wanted.
I've been googling like crazy and not found anything. I just watched this and tried 2 dining chairs and a barbell and it's totally locked in and 100% sturdy - I can finally effectively do this exercise that is in my program & when I advance I'll add the bench (I have a weights bench.
Sorry for the long comment, but I've been searching for ages.
Thanks!

would it be wise to keep trying at the straight leg version of this type of pull up even if I can't pull myself up all the way? Or would that lead to injuries? lol I feel like I'd want to practice the harder version right away until I get it right. Also, I'm a little skeptical of the things I have to work with to make a makeshift barbell to lift myself up XD like obviously I have two chairs, but the best thing I have around here is a broom. And I'm worried if I pull myself up with it I'm going to break it (murphys law. Is there a way I can SOMEHOW alter this exercise using fitness bands?

3: 00 this one with your legs up helps pull ups, I do a variation, high cable rows with a rope and Its looks like that same position hitting the under lats. One other one that also helps me is a using the rowing machine that has TWO SEPERATE handles one for each arm. you hold both up off the resters and alternate your one arm reps for ten each. Also, make sure you adjust your height of the seat and your arm is coming toward your nipples not high or low.

hey cattlecluj, these exercises should be done in conjunction with press up variations. They work the opposite muscles for balance. Excellent for your lower back but should be done with your glutes and abs clenched (look into pilates. i'd avoid the straight legged variations and levers until your problem subsides (if it can.

wow man great progressions shown here. your last variation is only a step or two away from a front lever pull up! i am nowhere near a front lever, although it is definitely a long term goal of mine. i bet you can get it man, just slowly get those legs out until they are straight! good stuff!

I have done/do those last 2 exercise's with a pull-up bar before seeing this video. They are great exercise's' and you really feel it in your core, arms, lats, and your lower chest if your arms are wide apart. You show the best exercise, which need the simplest of things, great vid man (:

Always remember to repent of your sins (sin is transgression of YAHUAH-S LAW: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy) And Have Belief On YAHUSHA HAMASHYACH. HE Died and Rose three days later so that you can be forgiven of your sins!

ive been doing inverted rows on the paralle bars with that same v shape as a work up to the no leg v shape on the staraight bar. it helped a lot. its not as hard because you have an easier time stablizing, but its still a killer exercise.

hey Jeff I do this at the gym all the time but without the variations, I lower the bar each set and rest a weight on my chest for extra resistance, does this have any major effect or is it better just using body weight.
