I am using the Ulead Video Studio, which is now owned by Corel. It's really packed full of features and to tell the truth, the average user won't use half of them, but it's available for the advanced user. I use the software to edit recorded video, Fade In and Fade Out Audio, and Transitions. There are tons of Tutorials for Corel's Video Studio on their website and you can find many more on YouTube by some of the Users. Corel's software goes on sale all the time, I see it's going for 39.99 Today, which is Black Friday. Whether you're a beginner or professional or somewhere in between, Corel Video Studio will satisfy your needs. I like it and have been using it for 15 years or more now. Thanks to our host, good video.

For anyone interested, since starting my study in screen and media which includes a lot of video editing, all of my teachers are very against Premiere firstly for the amount of problems you come across in software and secondly for price. Whether that's errors, playback issues or just quality of the application, they all use davinci resolve and its becoming very quickly regarded as the norm. Switching software is a nuisance but its free and just as, if not more widely used in professional fields if thats something you are looking forward at going into. Just giving my two cents. I still love Premiere, just wish it had a lot less issues.

This question goes to everyone who have one time searched for the video editing tool to start with as a beginner. My question is which one has the most learning resources available on the internet. Because it's one thing to pick a tool is another thing to get online tutorials enough to bring you up to speed.

I am in the process of converting VHS home movies to digital. What I am finding is a lot of static. In some cases so much static I can't hear the voices. Do you have a recommendation for a software that would be good for enhancing faded color, motion stabilization and sound editing? Please and thank you.

I've been a long time user of Corel Videostudio. Each new version has awesome features added. Corel added a transparency track function which allows users to make much deeper scene transitions as well as create corner bugs and watermarks, and Corel does offer highly discounted prices for upgrades.

Davinci Resolve crashes more times than a crash test dummy at an auto manufacturing plant. Even after using the latest version, I STILL get abrupt shutdowns and countless crash notifications. In my opinion, it's a frustrating nightmare of a program. Too bad because it is feature-rich for sure.

DaVinci Resolve free version is amazing! I only wish the noise reduction feature was (were?) included too. I think because I'm an old man, I find leaning how to use DaVinci very difficult (I keep getting lost in those nodes) but well worth the effort. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO!

Does any of these allow one to upload more then 23 minutes? Arcsoft ShowBiz is what I use. Though its good, at high quality its only able to uplosmad to a max of 23 minutes. Something free or pay once to use, maybe adding sound effects as well for Windows.

Am I mistaken in thinking that Pinnacle Studio Ultimate & VideoStudio Ultimate are almost one in the same software? I've used Pinnacle Studio Ultimate for years and it seems to me that VideoStudio Ultimate has identical features and functions to Pinnacle.

I am looking specifically for a video editor that lets me go frame to frame for paranormal research, do you know of any software that would enable me to search video, find a specific frame and make/download/save a jpeg image of the video frame.
