Using Photoshop CC 2020 I have created a drop shadow (26 px) that surrounds of all of my text. However I would like to be able to darken its colour from 115e8c at the top of the characters to 0b2730 at the base of the characters. This would be very simple if there was the option to select gradient instead of single colour. Could you suggest a work around that might achieve this effect? BTW Unmesh your tutorials are totally addictive, very informative and so easy to follow.

If you dont have this optioneel. You can duplicate your object, make it black, mak it blurry, stick the originaliteit image on top of the black one. Select the layer with the black object and transform it how you want it to be. And You can duplicaten your shadow layer as Many times as you want. This looks a lot more natural Then the single use of autoshadow.

Hi, can you help? I have PS CC, but the 3D section is greyed out, I also have PS CS5. 1 installed where the 3D works. I can only find something about the Open GL settings, of which I can not tick the box of in PS CC. Any ideas?

THAT'S WHAT THE PLUS DOES! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. I'd just started using multiple strokes. And I was dragging them from other layers to the layer on which I was working to make several. But I could just press the plus? AWESOME!

What I think is finally starting to click is that the best art uses the Ghibli technique of layering as many tiny details as you can include to get closer to reality. It's higher resolution.

Thank you for this video! I have a random question though. Once you detach the drop shadow and create a separate layer is there a way to link it back together to a layer?

How do you decide what blend mode to use? I need to put a drop shadow on a realistic composite photo with a complex selection.

Thanks. Quick question: What does your background layer have a layer mask? Does it change the appearance of the background color?

Great. This is more like the extension RealLookLong Shadow. So, I don't need that extension any more.
