Installing PostmarketOS on a Pinephone using Pmbootstrap - Rob Braxman Tech This video gives a step by step instruction on creating an SD card for the Pinephone with the differenr variants of PostmarketOS. You are able to use PlasmaMobile, Phosh and factory test versions of Pmos. This instructional video uses pmbootstrap which will give the latest (daily) version of PostmarketOS and corresponding apps. This is the recommended way of long term use of PostmarketOS since the demo version does not have a large enough partition. This method uses the available space on the SD card. This tutorial assumes pip3 is installed. To install pip3 on debian based distros: sudo apt-get install python3-pip Installation notes: The video references /dev/mmcblk0 as the SD card. But check your computer. If you have multiple block storage devices (SD card, USB drive, then it could be /dev/mmcblk. In the future to update the OS, just do it from that command line as follows: sudo apk upgrade

You should make a playlist for a solid intro to these tech topics. I'm about intermediate as a -techy- but when I see long videos focused on a specific topic like security I just assume I wont understand the technical computer science aspects of the video. As there are many videos good for just beginners I think you should make the playlist for those who are not really beginners but also not technically trained or educated.

But why on my system my sdcard appear as /dev/sdb1?
And when I continue the installation it make a problem: -ERROR: Unable to find the partition prefix, expected the first partition of /dev/sdb1 to be located at /dev/sdb11 or /dev/sdb1p1! -

Was able to install PmOS with etcher but I'm wondering of this will work with LuneOS. So far that's the only image that refuses to work for me and was my first choice to try.
Worst case I can really stay up to date with PmOS this way.

I want a Linux phone as a daily driver. The pinephone seems to be the most viable. I hope Rob compares all the potential OS' to show which one is the most feature complete.
