How Holidays Ruined My Internet Privacy (and how I fixed it) - Rob Braxman Tech The Holiday season is starting once again and this reminds me of how my family ruins my privacy each year, with their cell phones, love of Facebook and complete ignorance of how data is stored on the Internet. It's not just about their privacy. I will explain how their lack of care about privacy translates into my own personal loss of privacy. And how I don't get a choice. There is a solution. The solution mentioned at the end of the video is a BraxWifi VPN router. Available at

That fact that people cannot get together and shut their devices off during a time of gathering shows we have a national emergency in this country. I know people that scroll on fb while they are on the phone with me. This is an all new level of rudeness. If i could take a hammer to every cell phone in this world i would, including my own. I would just smash them all at one time: ) We were a better people before all this gadgetry.

Don't have that pesky feigned holiday crap here. have nothing to celebrate and no family. don't have useless blinking/flashing shit to systematically/seasonally to put up, then take down along w/ the Jones. who of course, procrastinates that part of this asinine ritual until around 2 weeks before the 4th of July.
Sooooooo. -Paltry Dilemma resolved! -
That's all I got.

A daughter of a friend told me just the same as your niece, then she was asking for help to secure get online privacy when her identity got stolen. Afraid family members don't even ask for permission to take the pics, much less to upload to FB. When I fix PCs first thing I remove is FB software and purple get upset, is bloatware and resources hog on top of spare.

For your first issue, family members using anti-privacy sites on your wifi, you should get your own proper router, managed switch and wifi access point. Setup a separate VLAN for the guest wifi network and run it through a different VPN than you use for your private network.

Hahahahaha, this message is enough to make you want to take a powerful sedative, all the while with cute holiday decorations and music playing in the background! That no one has a problem with any of this shows that we walk among the dead.

And ) grab a humble pen and paper and write a letter to a friend. You know people: pen, paper, envelope! That tried and tested centuries-old means of communication. All the best to all over this season.

I would add spoofing GPS location to a constantly fixed location too. Along with wifi source MAC flooding when outside to give the shopping centres a real good collection of dummy data

When I go to the store I turn my phone off so they don't know where I'm at. Correct me if I'm wrong they can't tell her I'm at if my phone isn't turned on

You should put a -Block- at your home when the family brings their faulty gadgets to your Kingdom. Zuck! Very informative video! Mr. H. Approved -

Nearly all these problems can be solved if you have a router with its own wireless network that automatically connects to a VPN
