Dunno if this will help anyone, but i couldnt get my 2nd monitor to work. i plugged in both HDMI's to my computer and to the screens and the second one wouldnt come on. Although it did work if it was my main monitor.
Anyway, i noticed the HDMI ports on my computer were not right next to each other. Which me with my Tiny Tiny knowledge of computer inner workings knew that meant they were plugged into different things inside the computer.
Turns out one of those had no video support. So instead of an hdmi i needed a DVI cable (one of those rectangle ones with the screws on the side)
And it worked perfectly (no sound through 2nd monitor though but i use headphones or external speakers anyway)

it only gives the options to duplicate screen, only show on screen 1 or 2, extend the screen which doesn't let you run a lot programs on the extended screen(flat screen), even if i drag skyrim launcher over to flat screen and select play it still only launches on screen 1.
I want to screens with separate but equal functions.

i have 1 screen and for some reason i have another 1 its frustrating bcz i dont have a second screen and when i go all the way to the right my mouse and other stuff disaper how do i turn off copletly the other screen i know how to turn off the other screen but not for ever maybe for 1 h and it turns on again

thanks. however, I have Intel i3 4th gen graphics and rx 460. I want to set up a dvi monitor for the rx460 and a vga monitor to the motherboard. can I play using the rx460 and read mail at the other screen? I cannot connect both to the graphic card due vga is quite old

Utterly off-putting video. Siri-voice puts me off plus I'm trying to link laptop with two other monitors that aren't just dupes of each other,

I have an issue that Windows 10home edition will not let me save the settings for the 2 screens.
The 2nd screen is a TV and I wish to duplicate rather than extend the desktop. Any suggestions?
