The Best Way to Organize Your Workspace - Rambox - Chris Titus Tech In this video, I go over Rambox a free tool to organize your email and messaging in one place to make you more productive. https://rambox.pro/#home https://github.com/ramboxapp/community-edition Lechsi: TY. I may get Rambox now. If you haven't done an INDEPTH, well-reserached video about the pros. cons, and differences amongst AppImages, .deb, rpm, and snaps, I need a video about it. Oh, and tar installs, too. I am very confused about the many ways to install packages. I've already had a few failures and am now intimated as heck about adding things - which I must do if I am to replace my sworn enemy Microsoft.

UPDATE: OK let me update you on my usage of Station and Rambox on windows 10 and Manjaro Linux:
-since both are Chrome Based they act like chrome
-each added app uses RAM like new Browser like Chrome Browser
-CPU Usage is as high as using normal browser yet higher
Was complaining about Firefox latest 6 updates that s using much of CPU and RAM
looks they've fix the CPU issue, but since these apps are using loads of RAM and CPU much more then
a Browser with 100+ Opened Tabs I am thinking of dropping em.
Don't Use em if you have less then 8GB of RAM and not using SSD as main Drive
I understand Chris you need to do those videos just hope you don't remove my comment it's a feedback.

While the program they run is open source and good in my eyes, they still collect (and store, and aggregate for business purposes) a great deal of your personal data. Yes, I read their privacy policy. Including and unifying all your social media, emails, work, personal, etc all linked to one person, you. That's a crazy valuable amount of data for anyone to have. You should be segregating and consolidating your personal information, not bagging it all up and handing it over to someone. This is actually pretty crazy, for the sake of some convenience.

It's an interesting app for sure... I've been playing around with a few of these type of apps and you might take a look at Station as well. Similar in concept with a mass ton of add ins/connections. The installed add ins are listed down the side as opposed to the top (though I haven't delved into it too deep so not sure what the configurability is overall and as far as I can tell, no paid option (all open source). Curious what your thoughts would be on that one if you get a chance to take a look...

Thanks for sharing. You may like to check out Firefox with their Container Addon as well. Similar functions just that it's via the browser. One big advantage is if you have multiple accounts on the same app like Google or Facebook, you can open each account on a different Container without using Incognito. How about doing a video on this as well eh?

Great video Chris,
Btw, your desktop looks way too cluttered, I think you should check virtual desktops(and maybe make a video about it later =]).
On kde you can setup rules so that each application opens on a specific virtual desktop

i had been using franz before but eventually stopped because it got slow after a while since its powered by electron.
Would RamBox be more performant than franz is? might move to rambox if thats the case.

reply

Well you could use a browser for the exact same features. I don't get how these apps gets sold to people they're just glorified outdated browsers (I'm guessing this is another electron app)

I would like to use it, but on my ultrabook, i5, 8gb, pop os (I think it is not a potato :D) it-s lagging so much when I get notification, that it-s nearly impossible to check it.

What's the point of using Linux if you're going to give all your data to these companies. I mean for me personally, I'm on Linux for Security and privacy.
