Was absolutely in love with this card when I saw it. First time I've built an actually good pc with new components and not cheap and old and struggling to run games at 1080p all my life. It is an all white Y70, and I was going all in to the point I could afford. But couldn't for the life of me get a white graphics card from any of the new launches :( so I ended up with a horrible black taichi OC instead . It sticks out like a sore thumb in my case. However all that being said, I really don't want my gpu having a weird random airfreshner in it. I can't imagine... Anyone actually wanting this or it being a selling point at all We just all like that it's pretty, and that's enough I'd say. That's the one part I'd take out. Anyone buying this is definitely vertically mounting it with the pearlscent side at the front for the looks and they dont want it to be an airfreshner.

What I'm getting out of all of this is that Nintendo should stop making consoles, move to pc exclusivity and start making GPU's designed around their stable of characters.
Is Samus Aran a waifu Cause I would be sorely tempted by a Metroid themed GPU. Or imagine the fur covered Donkey Kong GPU. With real banana scent!
A Mario Kart themed GPU would go pretty hard now that I think about it. And of course you'd have all the twee stuff. Animal Crossing cards with muted and pastel colors and seasonal themes (if they made a card themed with the coffee shop bird it would be an instant buy). Pikmin with idyllic garden/plant designs. Just imagine the possibilities.

Nothing spectacular on the scent module. Saturated core surrounded by a wick. Like all fragrances it will weaken and dissipate over time.
Gimmick or not.... totally wasted opportunity on the vendor. They should have installed some sort of slot, accessible from the outside for these smelling wicks to be easily accessible - secured with a rubber plug.
Worth extra cost to consumer Maybe If you are on an open bench, surrounded by nothing else than sweat and farts xD
Steve, greetings from High Point :)

I own a Gigabyte Aorus 9070XT card and I'm very impressed by the cooling. I dont really understand why the flow-through is so limited. I thought about opening it. But I will probably lose my warranty if I will, and I probably need to remove everything to get the backplate off. Can you do a break-down of the gigabyte Aorus 9070XT Or check if I can get the backplate off without breaking the warranty seal There's also a weird clicking noise every time zero rpm mode kicks in.

To add more gravity to the Good Vs evil battle, perhaps Y'all should create 2 systems or complete builds with similar components to see which side prevails in this battle of the never-ending civil war. Especially with the ominous green glow lurking on the horizon. (On a serious side, compare some of the partner models in a similar case build with sensible component choices, comparing them to likewise appropriate Nvidia cards, perhaps focussing on FPS/$)

I got an XFX 9070 XT Mercury OC and noticed the same thing, that there was no difference between the two bios switch settings. When I called XFX customer support, they said this was by design. They ship it with identical bios on both sides, and the switch exists for people who want to flash their own bios to one side or the other. They also said that doing so would void the warranty, so that is something I'm definitely not bothering with.

Feels like PC component design was taken over by car designers obsessed with putting a PC in a car showroom.
Then we have Yeston putting these waifu cards or Hyte doing V-Tuber collabs which reminds us that people on PC's might be into other things than sports cars.
Like Steve says at the end, buying a video card that's collaborating with a video game (that I'm buying the card to play) is such wild concept that can never be done!

I mean say what you will about it being ridiculous with their scent modules, Yeston is really making some beautiful looking cards I think. The design language of this one and RX 6700 XT Sakura are second to none when it comes to contemporary cards. The RX 7900 XTX Sakura Sugar (look what goofy shit they got me sayin) is still very photogenic in a space filled with pathetic black and white RGB obelisks.

90 Percent of Video cards all look exactly the same, Someone having the presence of mind to make something different seems like a win to me, bonus points for calling it a Waifu card. Considering there are many many times more women gaming in Asia, and herbivore men gamers that love the idea of having anything Waifu related it seems they are serving a big piece of the their own market

I know the direction they advertise in is cringe, but I really appreciate that there is something so comparatively different to the black/RGB standard. I have wanted one especially the 5800XT, just seemed like the perfect all round. I like the silly extras like the stickers and comic book guide, the smell I could do without... or maybe change it to something else

18:05 I have no idea how it's made - Little did he know it was a beginning of a jurney that would lead him to scent module factory
On a slightly more serious note - while I'm not a target demographic for this card it is good to see a company that stands out and takes their product design in wierd directions.

Okay but for real, ignoring the waifu, it's a good looking card. A white pcb and I/O panel for the white shroud. Does any other manufacturer go that far for a white themed card And the front fan shroud looks pretty good. If it was available I'd probably buy this card for my daughter and vertical mount it.

OMG this Perfume stick is literally in every Vacuum Cleaner guys. Come on, no way you never seen those.... As you use your vacuum cleaner the smell is better then the smell of burned dust that will normally come from the exhaust filter. Some people put those in their car Air Filters too.

Honestly - I wish it was possible to test that comment about the blocked fins. Personally, I believe it to be the inverse. Any air that doesn't really spend any time in the finstack is wasted air so letting it come out after just a mm or two surely could be a hinderance to performance.

Honestly, i kinda love the idea of these waifu cards. They aren't my speed as my rig is zero rgb solid metal side panels, but i did get drunk one night and covered it in some anime stickers I'd bought as a joke, so... give me an edgy anime waifu card, and I'd totally rock. Lol

So they have two senses ticked off. Smell and sight. That leaves feel, taste and hearing.
Brace for the Yeston off brand Miku Vocaloid edition, the Yeston 5Gum collab and the one with either silicon lumps or various patches of sandpaper glued to the backplate.

More customization options for consumers is a great direction that I hope more manufacturers move towards. Let people choose colors, design template options, and characters! Make it worthwhile to take custom pre-orders, which could also reduce scalping.

I'm not into the Yeston aesthetic, but I admire the company for having fun and carving their own niche in the GPU space. Almost feels surreal that a quarter-century enterprise continues to focus so much attention to detail in the fun department.

Perfumes give me extremely painful headaches. I would rip that thing out before installing the card assuming I got a waifu card for whatever reason. (I did get a last gen red devil card due to cooler performance, not cooler appearance)

Sorry, I get the offness of it being specifically a waifu card, but I love Yeston cards just for being far more unique than the other plain black or plain white (or RGB plain) cards. Especially since glass cases are so popular.
