I wish Cape Hatteras all the time when I was younger and always had blue fish for breakfast. You could count on them showing up at sunrise. And yes, they are good eating if you know how to clean them and you eat them fresh. And about their teeth. If you wait till one's dead and pull his lips back, you'll see that they have piranha teeth. They interlock so whatever they bite they're taking a whole chunk out of and they are saltwater piranhas. They'll eat till they're full regurgitate and start over.

You're 100% right about skinning the fish fish when I skin fillet I use my kitchen butcher knife and I leave about a quarter inch of meat on the skin cuz it's a layer of nasty fat and all that red meat. A clean stripers the same way leave that fat at that nasty fat on the skin and all the red meat and then you fillet out that center bloodline you got good fillets.

I take my Bluefish fillets and sprinkle salt on both sides and then place them in water and sprinkle in salt and soak them for 1 day in the refrigerator then drain the water and soak them in salt water again for 1 day again and you can't tell the difference between Bluefish or any other fish when eating.

Victor, you know when you scatter the beats out the back the live ones the pillage by a wiffleball bat and cut a boat 4 inches off the top 6 inches and then you load it up with the net and you fling them out there and they scatter further when you want them that way I’ve seen it on another fishing show. It was awesome.

Having grown up and fished the Chesapeake Bay, Blue Fish were only fished as a Sport Fish when there was a moratorium on fishing for Striped Bass, aka Rock Fish.
Blue fish are only edible marinated in Italian dressing to remove the very strong fishy taste. My cats wouldn't eat Blue fish, either cooked or fed raw.

As always thank you for sharing your lovely family with us! As to trash fish one of my favorite eating fish is the lowly Key West Grunt. Catch a pile of them, electric knife fillet them and then fry them up. I defy someone to tell me they are trash fish with a mouth full of them.

Great video. Congrats on the baby. Listen, I'm not one to tell others what to do. At the same time, please don't get vacc1nes injected into your precious baby. She looks so healthy, and please don't let doctors convince you to vccinte her. I say this with love. Have a great day.

Two of my earliest fishing memories, at the age of four, involve fishing with my grandfather in Naragansett Bay. My lifelong fishing passion was born of his passion for fishing for bluefish. Thanks for your hard work and thanks for a memory.

I was never fond of Bluefish unless we smoked some snappers, but we went out on a charter and slayed them 5-10 lbs and my bud made a terrific fish dip out of them. The oil content actually worked with it. I got to get that recipe.

In Trinidad we call it Ancho. Locals LOVE it! Some fishermen don't even sell it, just keep it for themselves. It's my mum's favorite fish, rather blue fish over kingfish or snapper or wahoo or dolphin

I’ll be in Siesta Keys the first week of June with some friends and family. My buddy and I are trying to find a charter that’s budget friendly while we’re down there. Who would you recommend

I love eating Blue Fish. I got the privilege of catching them on Melbourne Beach every winter 4 years. Choppers on the beach and the big boys would show up to Sebastian Inlet for a couple weeks over 15 lb

Great video! I love garlic as well, so what I do is mix the garlic powder with garlic salt, because it gives you a little saltiness to the garlic powder and makes the garlic salt a little garlicky!

Bluefish have a digestive enzyme that begins to spoil the meat from the inside out, so always, IMMEDIATELY bleed them out, gut them if you can, and get them iced. Flavor will greatly improve.

Damn! Every time I watch Americans catch bluefish I just cry because we call them Shad or elf and they don’t get half as big here in most parts of South Africa as they do in America.

Bluefish are a little bigger up North in May and June, and I love to catch and cook them. No fancy recipe, just fillet and fried in a Pan. By the way, how's Brooke and the baby!

What kind of fry pan are the darker pans I’ve never seen someone use a metal utensil on a coated fry pan, but this looks different looks like there were hexagons on it
