long time ago diving isolated area Bahamas - finger mounds 15-20' tall, 15-20' wide -- overhangs -- sand gullies between -- 70-75' to the sand -- about 20-30 yards from vertical drop-off -- viz 150' easy, maybe better - was swimming along -- spotted what I thought was giant schoolmaster from far away under an overhang -- when I got close -- sweet Judy! -- Cubera almost 6' long -- 4' from top to bottom - had to weigh at least 150 lbs. maybe more -- thick - just hovered under the overhang absolutely no fear of me -- got to within 3' of him. At time I had no idea Cuberas existed -- just admired him for a few minutes and swam away to the drop-off.

I had my first overnight trip last weekend. It was me and my dad alone around 45 miles offshore on a 19 foot sportsman island reef. First bait we dropped down was just a peice of squid on a jighead for yellowtails. I got bit and it just peeled drag on this little 3k BG. after 20 minutres of fighting it, it was a 13 pound mangrove. Most beautiful thing i've seen and glad I got to have that amazing memory with my dad.

Vic is such a good dude and would have been successful in anything he wanted. Kid is very well spoken, great fisherman/cook, and isn’t conceited like a lot of people who get popular. Awesome that he was able to make a career out of fishing and definitely envy him in that aspect.

Brook and Vic, get some organic or regular cumin seed. Anytime you feel bloated, gassy, bubbles in your intestinal tracks, take a handful of seeds and water to wash down. Anywhere from half hour or more, the cumin seed helps clear out GI systems.

I've been on a couple day-and-a-halfers and the last thing I think about is sleeping and taking a shower. Catch as many fish as you can on a trip like that!
