Of course you would fish private water! Lol! Thank goodness we don-t have many of your types where I live! You have skills but people who buy rivers and make you pay to fish them are hopefully the same people you hear about drowning! No offense! I hope you don-t take it that way. They ruin as much as they save

That is some amazing fish. I am getting ready to do my first fly fishing trip to Rock Creek River Montana at the end of September 2020. Can-t wait. Just learning fly fishing but I already love it. The action of the rod. The technique it takes to entice the fish. It is fishing at its purest form.

Never understood (well ya, I guess I do understand. it's all about Catching rather than Fishing) the whole -dropper hopper- double fly system. Can't do that here in BC. flyfishing is good old fashioned flyfishing. Figure out the water and the hatch, and put a barbless dry OR nymph out there. not both.

God do I love it. I used to drive thru Dubois on the way to YNP to flyfish every year. I promised myself I'd stop here to fish sometime, but the out of state fishing license fees were absolutely thru the roof (last I remember well over $200+.

Are the Trouts all natural or are some brought in every year? I live in Tyrol and here every year they bring young trouts in from fishfarms. It looks like you have much more fish than we have.

I spent 3 summers in Dubois. Two of them working the fish hatchery and another at the CM Ranch. My wife grew up there. This video really takes me back to familiar views.

The small streams near me are lined with dense tag alder and full of deadfall trees. I know they're loaded with nice fish, but it's tough to cast in a phone booth.

Sorry had to comment on one thing. If you catch it in Yellowstone it-s a Yellowstone cutthroat and it you catch it in the Snake river it-s a Snake river cutthroat.
