Can you do a video/video series on drones? They're great for shore fishing. I use them to scout out pockets to hunt geese in bogs. And follow up rivers while Portaging canoes- They're so useful. I'm a Canadian wishing he lived in the UK. Their is soooo much to see across the pond. So much history. I think a blending of fish habitat. And shore life would be great. Thanks for everything you do. I learned a long time ago. -Allways be fishing. - Fish can't take bait that isn't in the water. Why fish -Close face-. When you can fish Open face!

For anyone wanting to learn to cast with a multiplier you can ask in the tackle shop, they will know someone who can help, get thicker oil in the bearings, heavier/bigger brake blocks and make sure its adjusted properly, when your comfortable casting you can tune your reel to suit your style, many have magnetic brakes which make it much easier to adjust to remove backlash when casting, avoid the cheapest multipliers as many have no magnetic brakes and poor centrifugal braking

just getting started on shore fishing and this has been really helpful. i normally just fish some mackrel feathers off the pier but i got myself a 14ft rod and a good fixed spool reel. hoping to get some different species now! i was considering a second rod with a multiplier just to try the difference but for what difference it would make to me i dont think its worth it to learn yet. will just get myself another good fixed spool: )

Brilliant video. I'm used to fishing only 1 area and starting to be try out alot more as the place I used to fish is being built on and no longer accessable. Now I only have beaches which have alot of dog walkers.
Reading the sea is another great video of yours. Where is it you shot this video if you don't mind me asking. It looks nicely out of the way or dog walkers.
Please keep the videos coming. -

I've started fishing here in Portugal a couple of days ago, and my line doesn't have tension, it stays on the surface, I'm using a small hook with a 4g weight, and a 10g floater (i don't know the specific English name but it's the thing that shows where the line is) I've tried using a 5g weight but it sinks so I'm a little lost as to what to do

Can I ask John, Are you left or right handed? I'm right handed but I always use my left hand to hold a rod and my right hand to reel in etc which is what makes me curious as I often see many right handed people use the left hand to reel in which just doesn't feel right to me. I'm just wondering if I am not normal or something. ;)

When it comes to casting with multipliers there are only two types of angler. The first type is the one who has produced a birds nest so bad they had to remove all the line and start again. The second type is the one who has not yet experienced that pleasure but will do so at some point. Type 1 angler is far more common than type 2.
